I Wrote This Once... · 7:18am May 2nd, 2020
I just wrote this, but it got lost. Anyway, I kind of inspired a story. Me and SunlightRays were talking, and Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon are about to tussle it out, when they start cuddling.
No, Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker don't cuddle, but it is a cuddle fic, with a background story on Daybreak to top it off. He did the writing, but I edited it and suggested the ending. I tried to write the ending myself, but when Sunlight wrote his version, mine looked like crud. *sigh* Why did I sign up for a writing contest?
Back to the topic on hand, this story is really great! I definitely think you should check it out. It's awesome!
Hey, once again, thanks for the idea and all the cooperation! You simply did an amazing job editing and coming up with the ending. I don't think this story would have been as half as good without you.
I truly enjoyed writing this story and reading your editing comments along the way, with a sprinkle of shenanigans on top of it. For instance, writing fist instead of hoof and then catching that mistake minutes before the upload. Once again, thanks for the help with this story!

Your welcome, I enjoyed our work together.

Yes RandomGuy101, I agree with SunlightRays. I've read After The Day Breaks and it's one of my favourite short stories.
Oh my, fist instead of hoof!!! I'm sorry, I just can't help myself. Fist. Hoof. Facehoof.

Thank you! I enjoy editing, but the universe hates me being able to have time to edit. I got lucky with SunlightRays, though. He wrote a great story. I'm glad to have been his inspiration and to have suggested the ending.

I totally agree with Random here. This story wouldn't have existed in the first place without his idea, nor would it have been as half as good if he didn't come up with the ending. Also, the shenanigans don't end there.
There was that time where both of us almost spoiled our respective endings by writing Celestia instead of Daybreaker. Remember, save Celly for the last, because the best part always comes last!

I don't know how we both almost spoiled it the same way, though.

This is when the saying "Great minds think alike" perfectly applies.

Eeyup.
5263975
I think that applies between me and the show makers as well because, surprise surprise, there is a character named Stellar Flare already, and she is Sunburst's mom in the show.
I did not even realize she existed in the show until a few days ago.

Then there was that time where I wrote 'iron fist' instead of 'iron hoof', which Random managed to catch before I put the story on the waiting list, as well as the incident where I had to fix a plot hole by adding a line to the story... yeah, having an editor for your story helps so much more. Don't you agree, 5263975?

Definitely. Proofreading is a major part of stories, and it's very difficult to proofread your own work because you think it's perfect. Then someone else comes along and tells you about all these problems with it, and you go . However, it's that very , the and the that help a story become as close to perfect as possible. Stinium_Ruide has been proofreading my story The Swish of the Scythe and it's helped so much (thank you Stinium_Ruide if you ever see this!).

I sure do. I think we make a good team.

I agree. Editors are definitely necessary when it comes to writing a story, no matter whether there are grammar mistakes or not.

Couldn't agree more to that!
