    Yes I am alive

Sorry I've been so absent as of late. My new project kinda absorbed me a bit :twilightsheepish: Actually, for the past year ever since I decided to write a Warriors fanfiction I couldn't really think about much else as far as writing is concerned, even right now.

    It's been 10 years!

Yeah, it's been 10 years since I've made an account on this website and published the first two chapters of Rebirth of the Damned, my first story (you can't tell now because back then when you would edit chapters and save them then it would overwrite the date of publication).

General Update · 7:53pm Apr 8th, 2020

Now, folks, before we go to me rambling about the usual stuff, there is something we gotta talk about. Everybody knows what it is, it's in the air, in our cities, and naturally, I'm talking about COVID-19 and everything that's been happening regarding it recently. And the reason why we've gotta talk about it, is that otherwise, it's like elephant in the living room that nobody mentions, you know? Yeah, there it is on the fucking couch and nobody says a word! It's like you are on a formal garden party, and you go over to the punch bowl and you notice that inside, floating around is a giant turd. And nobody says a word about it! You know? Nobody says: "Lovely party Geoffry, but there's a turd in the punch bowl."

Okay, enough of ripping off George Carlin :derpytongue2: Yeah, so, things around the world aren't best, to put it lightly. I hope every one of you reading this blog post is safe and healthy, and if you got infected then I hope you'll make a quick recovery. And if you lost love ones then I am terribly, terribly sorry, you have my deepest condolences, and I hope my poor attempt at humor earlier didn't offend you.

Anyway, since I am not the best person to talk about serious matters, I will try to keep it brief. First, I am so far fine, despite my work requiring me to leave and drive around, visiting multiple construction sites and possibly interacting with people on each, I so far hadn't been infected. Which is good, because while I would probably not die, as I am only 28 and despite being slightly overweight I am otherwise a picture of good health, but I do live with my mom, who, well, isn't so young, sooo yeah, that wouldn't be good. I am of course taking precautions, I am wearing a mask, gloves, I'm sterilizing hands often (the skin around my knuckles broke in few places thanks to that), and keep my distance from people (as much as I can; since those are construction sites, hearing people can be naturally harder, so I often have to lean closer), and when I'm home I wash my hands often and long. I also don't leave house other than for work, to walk the dog, and for some emergency shopping, and open doors and press buttons on elevator with the back of my hand and such as much as I can.

So, second, I would like to remind you to do all those things I listed, for your safety and safety of your families. Wash your hands as often as possible, avoid contact with people (stay like 2 meters from everybody), cover your mouth if you cough or sneeze, wear mask and gloves for extra safety even if this doesn't help that much, and if you can, stay home (I keep seeing people on the streets walking around, it's really annoying) and don't leave if you don't have to, for work or for grocery run.

Oh, and if your goverment are using the epidemy to f*** with your constitution, as mine currently are (we have elections for president next month, and yeah, they still want to do that, because they are certain their president will win but they are certain they'll lose once the epidemy is over, so they plan to have elections from MAIL; and they of course they fired the chief of Polish Post and replaced him with the former vice-minister of defence, so I'm sure those elections will be legal -_-; oh, and all those changes to elections CANNOT happen within 6 months prior to election, so again, they're f***ing the constitution and risking people lives in the process), feel free to rant about them in the comments.

And lastly, before I start talking about random shit I usually talk about, if any of you reading this happens to be a doctor, nurse, policeman, firefighter, or part of whatever service that is currently doing all they can to help fight this virus, or even if you're just volunteering, buying groceries for old people or whatever, thank you, you are awesome:heart: (I don't know why any of those would take their time to read through my stupid crap, but hey, you don't discuss people's tastes.)

Okay, I think now we can move on to the regularly scheduled nonsense. As most of you had noticed, I recently published a chapter for Rebirth of the Damned, in which I finally (after 8 years) mentioned a precedent from Warcraft's franchise that makes the "return to life in pony's body" possible in canon with Warcraft Universe (even though after 8 years I still hadn't explained it). I hope the upcoming chapters will continue to provide such interesting hits, but they will have to wait, as the next thing I'll write will be a chapter for Stars in the Making, and after that I'll finally work on Infinite Potential. Which, considering how long those chapters are (and yeah, got a lot to cover in this next chapter), and my writing pace as of late, miiiiight take a while... but anyway, after that I'll get back to Rebirth again.

STEVEN UNIVERSE HAS ENDED:raritycry::raritycry::raritycry:

I didn't talk about this show too much, so it probably might come as a surprise to you that I'm a fan of it, but I actually love it, and it is/was my most favorite cartoon show, beating even MLP! This show was great, and admittedly, you wouldn't think of it after watching the first few episodes, but I promise you, if you watch your way through the entire first season, oh boy, you will NEED to watch the other 4, then the movie, then the epilogue series called Steven Universe Future, that just few weeks ago ended. The epilogue series, admittedly, was a bit of a mixed bag for me, a lot of episodes felt cringy at times, but man, that ending (4 part long!), it hit me right in the feels. I actually cried a little.

I feel that this should get its own blog post, but as some of you had noticed I am rather lazy about those things (I still have to do a short review of the last episode of Game of Thrones), so I'd rather write something short here, and then maybe add something in another blog post later.

I got introduced to this show sometime after season 2 started in 2015, by the girl I mentioned in my oh so very cheerful blog post from almost three years ago, saying how she basically emotionally f***ed me over. There were some good things that came out of that whole ordeal though, and Steven Universe was definetly one of them. So this show has also sort of this special meaning to me because of that. Fun fact, another show she introduced me to was Supernatural, which will also end this year, and Lucifer, which was supposed to have its final season this year, but A) it's still not out thanks to COVID and B) there are rumors they'll make another season, so that one is still up in the air, but still, funny coincidences, huh?

This show tackles a lot of social issues, which I won't talk about because, again, not the best one to talk about serious matters (especially on the top of my head like while writing a blog post, you might have noticed that I don't have some deep, philosophical thoughts in those, I MIGHT pull those off in stories but even then it can be not great, especially seen in the first half of Rebirth me thinks...), but I will tell you that I think they tackled them better and more often than MLP had, and the overall stories is also much better, primarly because everything (with the exception of the epilogue and maybe movie) was set up from the start, while in MLP we pretty much had every main storyline just added with every new season. Oh, and the songs, they had many beautiful songs, too! I would post here links to some of my favorites, but they're all very spoilery and I'm hoping that those of you who hadn't yet given this show a watch might consider it now and I would rather not spoil all those AMAZING plot points that so happen to be all spotlighted in my favorite songs:twilightsheepish:

Anyway, I'll miss this show, and I still think they could have show some more stuff and show off some more characters, but maybe they will consider making a spin-off show like Spinel Universe or Jasper Universe, because I would really love to see how those two further develop. But oh well.

Also, as a side note, about two years ago while watching one of the episodes I realized that they could make an AWESOME RTS game out of this show! Admit it, you all can totally see a line like "You must create additional Quartz soldiers!" in a video game. And given what we learn in first episode of the 4 part finale how the Gems now apparently have democracy and stuff, I am expecting a galactic civil war erupting up in there in a few years, so there you go, a good set up for the game!

Another show that I adore that recently ended was Tangled. Yeah, some of you might not know, especially if you hadn't read my blog post from 2 years ago I made after finding out about this show (I don't know why I said "especially", my blog posts are like the least popular source of information any of you is following I'm sure, but whatever), but this is a show based on the Disney movie from 2010, called Tangled. Basically an animated remake of Rapunzel story, and it was awesome look at it! And then when I learned about the show, I was blown away at how awesome it was!

Admittedly, the show is sorta "forced" into the story, the movie was perfectly self-contained, and its clear that they made it up years after the movie, but you know what? Despite some minor hiccups, it works! Yeah, this show was legitimately good, great even! And even if you can't overlook some of the main story's elements, the characters and the humor will keep you entertained, I'm sure. Oh, and they have plenty of songs, too^^ Unfortunately, most of my favorite come from seasons 2 and 3, and like before, they all contain spoilers, but there are 2 that I feel confident aren't too spoilery to share with you:

(Yeah, literally all others have spoilers in them, go figure. But damn, love the Wind in my Hair... don't be surprised if in Stars in the Making I'll have Starburst singing "'Cause I've got a wind in my wings and a fire within" :rainbowlaugh:)

Anyway, this show had its final, beautiful episode about a month ago, I hadn't mentioned because it had a misfortune of coming out on the same week as the final episode of 12th season of Doctor Who, which, while a blessing for me because it helped to take my mind off how awful it was, caused me to focus on it rather than Tangled while writing blog posts. So I'm mentioning it now!

While I'm talking about it, I feel I need to call attention briefly to a similar Disney show, which also had 3 seasons, had ended a few months ago, and was totally forced into the established story. I'm talking about the Lion Guard, and I am mentioning it mostly because out of the two I feel the Lion Guard is more known show, and is far, far worse in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, there are some good things in it, and few of gadzillion songs are actually really good, and hell, I actually got an inspiration for a certain story element in Infinite Potential, of all things, and it was actually already alluded to in one of the more recent chapter (but won't actually appear for a few years yet, so if you are clever and have too much time on your hands you might actually figure out what it is::pinkiehappy:). But while I actually got into the show after promotional clips for season 3 caused me to give the show a watch, the second half of season 3 blew so much and wasted what little potential it had for a good story. Anyway, to give you a better picture as to why Tangled is so much better than this more known show, if Lion Guard would be Disney's new Star Wars movies, then Tangled would be the MCU! There, I said it!

Another show had recently a season finale, but it's not over yet. My Hero Academia's season 4 recently ended, and I can honestly say they went out on a HOT NOTE! Honestly, discounting such monuments like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Code Geass and Death Note that all stand in the class of their own, this might be my newest favorite anime (even though the villains, except main one, mostly suck, but hey, same thing could be said about MCU xD)^^
(slightly spoilery music video but too awesome to not post it!)

So as you might have realized after watching this video, or simply watch this awesome anime, its basically a highschool for heroes. Think something between Harry Potter and RWBY, except, you know, the main cast aren't hormonal or self-righteous idiots (who in latter's case have yet to account for their f*** ups).

About the only way this distinguished spot of my favorite anime could be taken from it is if they would FINALLY make Pokemon Adventure manga into an anime, but I don't see them ever realizing what a goldmine they have on their hands... just look at this video with scenes from the manga!

Damn I feel like rereading it again... at least the Ruby x Saphire arc, which has my 3rd most favorite ship btw^^
Also since we're talking Pokemon now apparently, here's a quick cute video with game characters (so not characters from that manga, because they are only based on game characters, there are some slight differences):

Changing the subject again, I recently played through Assasin's Creed: Origin! Yeah, finally gave it a try. I always wanted to, because it's set in ancient Egypt, and while my area of specialty are ancient Greece and to lesser degree ancient Rome, I love Egypt stuff too^^ And you know, what, there are almost NO games based on ancient Egypt! Seriously, aside from AC, only other games I could find where either some strategy-builder games, which I sometimes play but I'm not that into them, and some games from the 90s or early 2000s (heck, I actually own one, got it around the time it came out even, Egypt 2 Heliopolis' Prophecy; or something, got a version in Polish and I'm too lazy to look up the original title, anyway it's about 2 hour long point and click detective game). And one Yu-gi-oh game, apparently. Anyway, for some reason, I simply never got around to playing it, but finally got it when I noticed that there was a sale of it, the price on PS store was 70% off! So naturally had to get it, and started playing.

And I LOVED IT! Damn, it was so awesome! I admit, I was slightly disappointed when I realized this takes place in 40s BC, meaning this would 50% Egypt, 40% Greece and 10% Rome, I was hoping for a game taking place in the Old Kingdom (3k-2k BC), but hey, it's still awesome time. I was also bummed out about how Greeks are portrayed in it, but yeah, studying history I know this is accurate. Anyway, the game is great, the story is awesome, the visuals are breathtaking and I hope I will someday go visit those sights!

I'm gonna talk a bit spoilery here next, so if you want to play this game some day skip over to the next subject (also this was all 2070 years ago, c'mon, how are those things spoilers?):

You have no idea how big of a history-nerdgasm I had when I helped to bring Cleopatra to Caesar rolled up in a carpet, then later I showed both her and him to the tom of Alexander the F***ing Great, then next moment I was riding shotgun with Caesar on a chariot while a f***ing elephant chased after as! And then they shook arms, this was so awesome! And yeah, then they were betrayed, but honestly, all Caesar and Cleopatra did was forbid them from killing a person, most people would have them both executed, and given Caesar's literal history of forgiving his enemies and befriending them, I was not surprised.

But then... the ending.

WHAT. THE. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the fuck was that bullshit?! No, I am not censoring those fucks, they are well deserved! And I'm not even talking about playing through the entire final stage as Aya, not Bayek whom we leveled up whole game, got all the weapons and skills, which was stupid in its own way. Why the fuck did I had to help Brutus, person who's name is synonymous with traitor, help to murder one of the greatest historical figure and one of my favorite historical characters?! Why?! Because he was a "tyrant"?! Give me a break, by the definition of the word we have today Caesar was in comparison a chill guy! He took power from a bunch of corrupted senators, cared for his soldiers and for his friends. And we kill him?! Oh, and the stupidity doesn't stop there, because I know history I know what this leads to. Aya's stupidity leads to 14 years of civil war across Mediterranean Sea, death of the last pharoh (which is something I so wanted to cause while playing a game about ancient Egypt; let me guess, in one of the DLCs I actually kill Cleopatra and her kid, right? Fuck this game!), and rise to power of a greedy nephwen of Caesar that becomes a tyrant and is basically viewed as a god, then is succeeded by a guy who (supposedly, could be fabricated by historians after his death to sully his name) RAPED BABIES (amongst other delightful pasttimes), and then later he was succeeded by the fucking Caligula! SO GOOD JOB AYA, YOU STUPID BITCH, YOU REALLY DID AN AWESOME JOB THERE!

Funny story regarding those two awful Emperors; sometime ago I was arguing with my mom regarding people who voted for our goverment (by that I mean avarage normal people, not the religious fanatics that make 20% or my country and vote for them regardless for what they do because that's what the Polish Church tells them too, that I can understand), that I, in kind words, cannot understand. My mom argued that while they are awful they at least provide social help to people, and their predescessors did not, so a lot of people hold resentment towards them and likes the current government. To that I say:
"Hey Mom, do you know who Caligula was?
My Mom: "Yes?"
"Of course you do. Everybody knows that name. He was an awful person, who after becoming the Emperor of Rome tortured a lot of people and had a lot of orgies and was insane, so everybody hated him. At first, though people loved him cause he gave them "bread and games" (aka social help), and the previous emperor was awful and people hated and feared him. Do you know who was the emperor before Caligula?
"No."
"Of course you don't, nobody remembers him. I studied this shit professionally and I need a moment everytime I think of the guy to remember his name. ... Tiberius. Did I make my point?"

Anyway, I am currently playing through the two DLCs, I want to see this to the end. After that I might get the DLCs for Assasin's Creed: Odyssey, as while I finished all of that games's storyline a year ago I hadn't played any of the DLCs yet. I WAS going to play all the other AC games after that, but seriously, the murder of Caesar pissed me off so much that I don't think I will. Pity, because I was especially looking forward to the French one, on the off chance that I get to break Robespierre's jaw, there are few historical characters that I despise as much or more than him. Would be awesome if I'd get to kill the bathtub guy too, but I think this is less probable to happen in the game (especially since he gets killed by a woman). I suppose I could play just that one, but, well, my playthrough of this series is already messed up from playing backwards (first Odyssey, then Origins), kinda wanted to play in order... btw, can somebody tell me the order of these games? Probably won't play them but still, would be nice to know.

Okay, now something more optimistic, there are some new seasons of awesome shows that popped up! Ducktales season 3 and Harley Quinn season 2!:

Love both shows, I can't believe we get the second season of Halrey Quinn so soon, and was looking forward to more Ducktales!

Tv shows aren't the only shows I'm watching. There are three internet shows that I am currently going through. First is Linkara's Atop the Fourth Wall, which I already mentioned:

This show, about a guy reviewing bad comic books, is surprisingly AWESOME. Aside from making fun of bad comics in hilarious ways, he also comes up with his own storylines, admittedly based on some stuff from works of fiction, that happens to him around the reviews and he mixes the life-threatening adventures into his reviews! Here's a "prophecy" about one of the villains from the show, who so far was my favorite to date:

Beneath the seas, besides the flame,
Off the coast where the lost beast came,
To bring the world misery and shame,
A piece of the world is missing.

The path you should have never crossed,
The Beast exacts a heavy cost,
The number of the Beast is lost,
You will know it by its hissing.

The bones from hell you cannot tame,
Devour your life and all your fame,
That is the price to play its game,
And all while you're reminiscing.

Props if you can guess what's this is about, it's actually based on something famous in popculture xD

I am currently somewhere in the middle of his series, around 300th episode I think (there are about 650 so far). Yeah, making your way through them all is hard, but it's worth it, so if you have time I highly encourage you to give this insanity a shot!

Another series I recently started watching is BuzzFeed's Unsolved, two guys talking about various unsolved cases, criminal and supernatural. Pretty similar to the show I talked about a year ago, Bedtime Stories, except... it's hilarious xD Those two guys have these perfect back-and-forth arguments while discussing all those cases, this series is just gold! Here are links to two episodes that I think best exemplify this:

(btw, the flight 19 from Bermuda Triangle video was most likely the main pilot's fault, they were training this method of navigation that was... ugh, you know what, here's a link to Bedtime Stories' video about this, they explain it better.)

Okay, last but not least, an insane series by mikefireburn, detailing adventures of two guys through Fallout New Vegas! Yeah, they heavily modded the game to the point they sorta play together, not sure how it works... anyway, it's called Fallout Multiplayer/Fallout New Vegas (first two videos are called Multiplayer, where they pretend to be actual characters and play the part, from then on its just them playing through the game). They. Are. Hilarious! I swear, even if you don't like watching playthroughs or let's players or however they are now called, this series is worth a watch, the conversations between those two guys are simply gold!
Here's the first episode:

Oh wow, this blog post ended up far longer than I anticipated :twilightsheepish: Did anybody actually had made it all the way here? Oh well, I was bored, and figured I might as well write something half-way entertaining for my readers, most of which are probably locked up in their homes, and while I myself hadn't changed my lifestyle too much, I know to most people staing home for so long isn't normal. So I hope I helped a little^^

Stay safe and healthy^^

Happy to know that:twilightsmile:... why the deadpan?:rainbowhuh:

i do not no the vane {mushal} face for pis

Hello there. Well, im glad ur fine. idk what i'd do if Infinite potential was ended as it is rn.

I'm still doing not that badly personally from the virus situation; I was in a pretty lucky situation at the start, despite being relatively near and connected to what is apparently by now one of the planet's biggest hot spots (definitely cancelled a trip I was planning through said hot spot, though). Glad it sounds like you've not been doing too badly so far either, and good luck.

Ah, sorry that show you liked has ended. I only had peripheral contact with it myself, but still, sorry for your loss of new episodes of it.

The Tangled show I don't recall having heard of at all, though (might be wrong, though). Still, sorry you lost it too.

Glad you liked the in-Egypt Assassin's Creed game. :)
(Which I haven't played either, but I also like Kemet.)
How in particular were the Greeks portrayed in it that had you bummed? Though as I recall, until and except Cleopatra VII, they were only kind of integrated, and considered the natives second class citizens (and of course, things didn't change overnight just because the ruler did).
I still wonder how history would have gone if Actium had gone the other way... Roman Empire splitting centuries earlier, with the Eastern half based in Alexandria and the Western maybe even still more of a republic? Who knows. All sorts of possibilities, though.
(And putting the PoD even earlier, say, Caesar lives, or a variety of other points, well, really who can say?)

re the first spoiler paragraph:
Oh, neat. :)
...Though I think I'm missing something, I'm guessing game-plot-related, in that latter part of it.
...And then apparently you found the ending not so good, I am guessing from your subtle hints. :)
Sorry about that.
[reads your description of the ending]
...Yeah, what?
[finishes reading that paragraph]
And I didn't even know Octavian's immediate successors were that bad (your knowledge of the historical details is greater than mine, I think). Great, so that's even worse than I thought.
Also...
[checks Wikipedia page for the game]
Well, there's no mention of killing Cleopatra and Caesarion, but apparently one of the DLCs does feature "pitting players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian beasts, as they uncover the cause of the curse that has brought certain dead rulers back to life".
And, you know, if the Roman conquest was descending on Kemet and Ramses II (no idea whether he's actually featured, but, come on, "famous pharaohs" seems pretty likely to include him) rose angry from the dead, I think stopping him would not be my highest priority.

re the history lesson with conversation history and political connection:
Interesting; thanks.

I have no idea what order the games are supposed to be in, sorry, or in fact even how many of them there are.
Don't blame you for being put off them, though. And what I've heard of the concept of the games has sounded kind of iffy to me.

...And not watching either of those shows either. I don't watch all that much television, really.

I did watch a fair bit of Atop the Fourth Wall back in the day, though.

...And back to something I'm not sure I've even heard of again. :D

Glad you're finding things to enjoy. :)

"Did anybody actually had made it all the way here?"
I did!

"and while I myself hadn't changed my lifestyle too much, I know to most people staing home for so long isn't normal"
Yeah, uh, to be honest, it's been kind of weird inferring how weird this apparently is for most people.

"Stay safe and healthy^^"
Thanks, and likewise!

Ah right, forgot to mention when talking about COVID, my editors know pretty much how the story will go, so if something were to happen to me they'd be able to tell people. Would take them a while to put all those notes and messages in order probably. Of course, in this scenario it would be better if they could find somebody who could finish the story for me, but I'd imagine that would be a rather tall order ^^;

5239195
Happy to hear you're doing well too:twilightsmile:

Thanks. Everything has to end at some point (don't tell Angel that:twilightoops: :derpytongue2:). Also probably best that it ended, while the finale was perfect and the story this whole epilogue made sense, there was a lot of cringe in it too.

Exactly my point! So many people heard about that dissapointment Lion Guard, but so few had heard about Tangled! I myself found it by accident, was watching some "AMVs" of Warrior series, and one video just so happened to use a song from the final episode of Tangled's first season!

Once I realized that this is a song from some show, I had to research more, and found out that there is a show based on one of my favorite new Disney movies! A show to which I was already partially spoiled by then! But that Lion Guard had been all but BROADCASTED across interned!
I actually considered making a blog post about Lion Guard, explaining why it's a bad show (as most of the comments I see on the internet and heard from bronies in my home town - I did occasionally see them; plus there was supposed to be a convention again here, this month actually, so was reading myself to give them some talk if they'd brought up Lion Guard - are very positive), but I have mixed feelings about drawing more attention to it. And don't get me wrong, there were some good things in it; like I mentioned, I even got one fun idea for Infinite Potential from it. I guess the best way to describe it would be calling it a waste of potential.

Thanks^^
Yeah, that's about it. Being half Greek I didn't quite like seeing that 90% of them in this game were assholes (again, even though I knew that's accurate depiction); I'm getting enough of embarrasment for my Polish half on daily basis, thank you very much :rainbowlaugh:
Hm, it's hard to say :/ Octavian was obviously a very good emperor, so maybe for those times that he had won. On the other hand, if Caesarion would be put on the throne with Mark Antony advising him, he could turn out very good too, and seeing how the Ptolemies managed to actually have a normal dynasty for 300 years, unlike what Octavian and his successors would do with adoption grown men, maybe they could keep the empire together longer? Of course, I suspect that internal issues would still rip the empire apart from within regardless, so maybe in the long run it wouldn't matter.

The thing was that one of the commanders on Cleopatra's brother side that we fight together with Caesar was part of this Ancient Order that through this game you've been hunting (both for personal reason and for safety or people and stuff), and Caesar stops you from killing him. Which if I remember correctly (been a while since I read up on those times, admittedly) was something he would often do, spare his enemies and befriend them. THEY TOOK ONE OF THE MOST ENDEARING CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS HISTORICAL CHARACTER AND USED IT TO MAKE HIM INTO AN ENEMY OF THE PLAYER!

Well, I don't usually like being responsible for bad things, like most people I imagine, so I didn't feel good about being responsible for one of the most despicable acts in history, and regardless of how the outcome and person in question is viewed nobody will convince me that helping somebody murder the person who thinks of them as friend was a good thing (friendship is magic).
Yeah, this was one of the most memorable things I had learned on my ancient history course :twilightsheepish:
That's more or less what the description of the DLC says, and I'm actually interested to see where are they going with this. Being a big Warcraft fan I obviously enjoy undead content^^

No problem^^ (the comparison between my current government and Caligula is actually surprisingly apt, while they don't torture people or have massive orgies, there was recently a scandal about a high ranking member of the party owning a tennant house - which is not clear how they got it - where two criminals from Ukraine had a brothel, in which, according to some former anti-corruption bureau, few members of the party went in, with one, ugh, spending time with an underage girl :twilightangry2::twilightangry2::twilightangry2: But of course, nothing is being done about it! And people still vote for them! Not to mention how they are trying to get us all killed by pushing for the election for president to still happen at the set date (10th of May), all because they know there will be ciris after this shit is over and people will blame them regardless of how well we pull through it!)

Actually, the concept of going into a machine to relieve memories of ancestors was something that always put me off from giving those games a try, I always figured that they could just make series of games with those people in the past, but admittedly after playing through two last ones I'm interested to see what exactly is the main plotline.

Highly recommend those^^ Especially since in Ducktales season one there is an episode with two pony characters voiced by Tara Strong and Andrea Libman xD

Same, before I started watching his series from the start I occasionally watched a few random episodes. My favorite was his series of Silent Hill comics reviews, I actually watch this at least every October^^

And again highly recommend those^^ Especially Fallout one, those guys talk various game-related and real life matters (one was apparently in the army - specifically he was assigned to armory I think - the other in marines, and they talk about grenade launchers in one episode and one mentions having one during his service.
"Wait, you had a grenade launcher?"
"Yeah."
"Why were you, working in the armory, and enclosed space, were issued a grenade launcher?!"
they are hilarious xD)

Well, we have to keep ourselves enjoying the ride through this horrible, dark reality we find ourselves in, right? Especially now with this virus thing going on too :derpytongue2:

Aww, thanks^^

Exactly! I keep seeing people going on walks, not even with dog, and thinking: "Do those people have no internet or something?!" xD

Thanks^^

:)

Heh. :)
And sorry it looked like it may have been going downhill, if I read you correctly, but aye, if so, might indeed be good it quit while it was ahead.

Well, I've not seen either show or the movie, so... not much commentary I have to make there, sorry.

:)
Ah, thanks.
re Octavian:
Yeah, good point about the longevity too.
Ptolemies: We're going to have lots of inbreeding, yet still manage to last three hundred years and produce Cleopatra VII.
Octavian: We're not going to take a chance with just rolling genetic dice, much less weighting them against us, so surely we'll manage to do much bett... oh. Oh dear.
Oh, yes, the Roman Empire wasn't exactly without problems, but maybe both it and particularly "Aegyptus" would have been better off.

...Because it needed to be even worse, right?
I mean, come on, if you want something with Caesar as the villain, maybe set the game in Gaul and have the play on the side of the anti-Roman locals? Pretty sure that's less travelled ground than Kemet, too, much as I like Kemet.
...Oh, right, though the games are just supposed to be watching recordings of historical events, right? So that wouldn't work, since Caesar historically in OTL didn't die there. Eh.

Yeah, just, wow. How did that generally go over with the players?

:)

Heh. :)
Well, I'm guessing you might let us know here if it ends up particularly interesting. :)
Or vent-provokingly bad.

Argh, sorry about all that. Good luck.

Right, that sort of thing. Though I'm glad you're interested. :)

Heh, well, thanks, but I still don't watch much television. :)

Glad you're enjoying that, too. :)

Heh. :)
I don't know, might at some point, but I'm pretty busy. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

:)

Heh, you're welcome. :)

I mean, you know, under normal circumstances I enjoyed the occasional walk just to have a walk. But these aren't really normal circumstances, and I have plenty to do inside.

:)
