The Coronavirus really has demolished America’s chances of stopping Chinese influence in Southeast Asia and elsewhere.
All because of the incompetence of the federal government and the ineffectiveness of America’s healthcare system.
There is a candidate that advocates fixing that, but nah, the Democrats would rather elect an old man with dementia because he’s the “safe moderate”. Lol, tried that with Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Al Gore. How did that work out you fucking retards?
Anyways, what started off as a huge embarrassment for China, has turned into a major advantage to spread Chinese influence. I expect the Chinese to start sending medical teams to ASEAN countries soon and that’s because the Americans snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

America doesn't have as much control as they like to think. Medicine production takes a while to set up. China could drop the facade and just start snatching resources from whoever they want with no one but Russia to stand in their way. Then start forcing civilians into farming jobs in order to create a more long term solution. The only thing that might keep them from truly holding medicine hostage would be a terrified America choosing to go down with a fight or Russia looking to use America to keep China in check. Either way, America has very little to no control in this situation.
Oh, and to top it all off, America is tearing itself apart over stupid stuff rather than focus on the big picture and worry about the less pressing things later.

You seem to forget that most, if not all, aid from other countries have been prevented due to the Corona Virus. Give it time, the Chinese have always had more people than their farms could support.
Additionally, seeing as China has gotten so desperate as to send men in clean suits with guns to shoot infected, I doubt China has a handle on the situation.
I believe within the next 5 years, someone's gonna light up a nuke and it's going to be total bedlam.
America using fear tactics to slow infection is inspired, as many of America's people are concerned with the health of themselves and their families, so the American government acknowledges the threat the Virus presents, unlike Italy.
