First time of writing my own stories on here since the first episode of my little pony friendship is magic.
I have a displaced story in work of progress with a character displaced as Validar from Fire Emblem. The problem is I can't figure out on which place this takes in. If anyone has any great idea, please leave a comment down below. Pretty please? Thank you.

Okay, so, let me look up Validar, as I have never played Fire Emblem. However, if you can give me some character detail, personality, abd how the displaced will act after displacement, like the character or like himself, then I can give you a good idea of where would be nice to go to in the timeline.

I think my oc character becomes cold, calm, and a tactician strategist after becoming displaced Validar. Although, he can be a little bit soft later on and perhaps have some flashbacks of his life before becoming displaced.

Then the best place to start would maybe be before the timeline. Possibly have him stoned, and hes cold and calculated because he is mostly angry about the stoning. However, he slowly becomes softer over time, getting used to the girls. Though, having him come back around the time of Discords return would be better, and have him as if he was summoned by Discord back then, and the princesses stoned him thinking he would attack them.

Well, he also have some other personalities. Like chuckles or laughs when something unfortunate happens to someone, gives a lesson or two on both allies and enemies, and perhaps have some relaxing days.

You need to set up the character beforehand, plan him out, smooth out all the details. That way, when you add him with his personality, it will be better than just jumping in all "He's a cold dude who will fuck you up."

Also, again on timeline, I think having him come in before the story, 1000 years ago, is good. Discord "summoning him" to fight the princesses is a good way to bring characters in. However, having him come in during one of the episodes you have in mind is good too. I still think its kind of a bad idea because those are mostly silly episodes, and this guy sounds super serious. He will not be amused with anything that happens.

Well, the first one is in the Equestria Girls world, but with lamia and naga species. It starts off with lamia Sunset Shimmer in her cave of coin bits crying after getting kicked out of her home. Then, her life changes when she meets a human and befriends him as they journey off and meeting others along the way.
The second one is in the parallel world of Equestria, but each of the different species have gone through evolution as they are now anthro vixens. Years later, one of the vixens find an abandoned ship with a human in the pod who's still alive. Meanwhile, a large invasion force heads to their current next targets, including the vixen world.

Oooooh, ok. Well, when you publish them, hit me up. They sound cool.
I suggest the past, as in 'before the mane six were born' or 'when the royal sisters were fillies,', this will give you plenty of room to work with in coming up with a fresh plot that won't involve recycling bits of the main mlp plot, basically he needs something to use that new body for something other than learning about his new powers and getting better with them. If I remember correctly, he's a dark mage that uses dark magic and elemental magic. Btw, do NOT start the story with him turned to stone, it is a very overused cliche that skips alot of character and cheats readers in getting to know the main character.
I forgot to mention: Don't have the original character's personality as the displaced's personality, you need to keep the human's personality instead, otherwise you may as well have used the original Validar instead of a human changed into Validar,
