More Story Updates (For Those That Care) · 9:34pm Mar 4th, 2020
For the few who actually care about my future endeavors, I’ve got news for you. Let’s discuss some of my stories.
Firstly, let’s start with the stories I’m focused on at the moment.
Of course, The Great Equestrian Journey is my top priority, however, I’ve hardly planned out this story at all. For now, I’m just focusing on the Equestrian map, but as for what Long Hike will discover in the West, I have no clue. I do have a couple clearer ideas on proper comedy though, or at least the comedy I’m going for in this story.
Equestrian Idiot has been put on indefinite hiatus. I will return to this story, but I listened to the album and realized I had completely misinterpreted the story. I also know I can write radical characters better. So, I’m hopefully going to come back in the future with a much better Clear Opal Sunrise.
As for my other stories; eventually I will get back to writing them. Not anytime soon, though.
Now, for some clarification on the ideas I shared last story update.
The Stories We’ve Lost has still not taken off past infancy. I don’t know the third character, and I certainly don’t know what tone I’m aiming for. I really like the idea of a multi-chapter deep story, so I will attempt to come up with more stuff in the future.
The Butterfly Effect has actually settled on a tone. I will be writing it like The Endless Cycle and Sitting On The Dock of the Bay, or that sort of mysterious-yet-completely-comprehendible tone. That’s part of the reason why I won’t be putting it on here. I think it’ll have more leverage as an original, so I’m putting it on Author’s Academy Wikia when I feel like it. It will be under an alias, even discounting my main Wikia account (Warriorfanofages98), but the story will be recognizable, you have my word on that.
Now for the big news.
10 months ago, I mentioned an idea for an FO:E/21st Century Breakdown story. Since then, I have not had any idea how it’ll start or end. However, a number of days ago, I got a wonderful idea for starting the story upon waking up one day. Now, it was too good to waste, so I used it. I am happy to say that Fallout Equestria: 21st Century Breakdown will be premiering with 3 chapters tomorrow. Or well, a Chapter 0, Prologue, and a Chapter 1. The first two weren’t long enough, but they are on FiMFiction, just not published yet. However, Chapter 1 is shaping up to be 4,200 words, which is pretty close to my target. Just don’t expect perfection or anything that even resembles a person who writes like Kkat, she’s in a completely different league than a hobbyist like me.
The general idea is the same, it’s set during the FO:E war, following Celestian who really hates his life. For the record, if someone asks me if he’s supposed to be aggressive, sporting a lack of self-control, or trying to take down the system through a devilish plan, my answer will forever be ‘yes’.
It’s not following either story (FO:E or 21st Century Breakdown) to a T, but there will be elements of both stories interweaved in there. I have a series of notes on FO:E, and I’ve practically memorized 21st Century Breakdown’s story, so be assured that elements will be there. Also, if you haven’t read FO:E or listened to 21st Century Breakdown, I highly recommend it.
Like FO:E and Fallout Equestria: Commonwealth, Celestian will be getting perks after most if not all chapters. These perks won’t always exist in Fallout canon, but I’ll try and keep them believable. All main characters will also be getting a character/companion profile (there’s 1 companion at the moment), but the companions will be separate and not get any perks.
Finally, the story will not be updating to any sort of conceivable schedule. The story boils down to ‘random ideas I bring to life in a Google Doc at school’, and the update schedule will come with inspiration. While I did have a blast writing it, the chapters will be long, and I want this story to be as engaging as it was to write (I might’ve put aside some assignments just to write in Study Hall a couple days ago). Also, I know my stories never have a conceivable upload schedule, but that’s usually laziness, this will be inspiration and dependent on how much homework I have to do in a given day.
After that long tirade about Fallout Equestria: 21st Century Breakdown, I’d like to say I have no other ideas at the moment. However, I’ve been listening to Fallout music a ton, so I wouldn’t be surprised if an unscheduled story pops up on my profile.
That’s about it for me.
Until next time, be awesome!
