So the ponytar I've got right now thanks to the flash pony creator is alright, and it does have a certain "me as a pony" quality. But everybody and their dog has ponytars here (no surprise) and the hat looks more like a beret than the greek fisherman style hat I actually wear. So I'm considering other options.

I'm not sure if FIMfic allows animated GIF avatars, but if they do, I'm highly tempted to use this one of Luna (aspect ratio corrected, of course):
Whichever image I use, I'll of course crop it square to upload.

PS: Work continues on The Stars, the Seal, and the Kraken, but the semester's started up again; my course schedule includes my first PE class in twenty years, and it is kicking my ass. I'll get the next chapter up when I can. I also need to find an appropriate image to attach to it, and submit it to EqD.
PPS: Also considering further stories about the Doo family, but they're only in planning stages so far.
You might want to consider combining ponies and romans in the same package. A "Roman Pony" search in DeviantArt produced this result:

Wow, that's pretty badass. Even tempted to swipe that for a forum avatar elsewhere, if it scales down well.
Or you might be able to convince an arty reader of yours to draw you one. Especially if you really do have more Dinky/Ditzy planned.
