So I won't lie, all of what I'm gonna show to you is made using AI. But I'm not using these as the "Finished looks", but these are more of concepts, as I'm terrible at drawing, and don't have cash to pay someone to draw them. But this is the main idea:

I turned the Avengers into playable DND Characters · 12:08am Feb 10th, 2020

Yep. I went there. I went full on Virgin tabletop gamer on you all, turning Superheroes onto DND Characters that, potentially, you can use in a session. But before we get started, these are the rules I went by.

#1: No Homebrew. Everything is from the official books from Wizards.
#2: All Characters are from Phase 1 of the MCU (Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye). Gotta put a restraint on instead of dumping you with EVERY Character.
#3: All are Level 3 (most classes get their Archetype at this level.)
#4 We'll be using Standard Ability score for all (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, and 8, with 15 being the best and 8 being undermining. Will be affected by race features and some feats)

And as a side note, the artwork is not mine, but I think they just look super cool and fit with how I imagine them

Captain America

Race: Human (Variant)
+1 to Dexterity
+1 to Constitution
Feat: Inspirational Leader

Class: Paladin (Oath of Devotion)
(Protection Fighting Style)

Ability scores:
Strength 10
Dexterity 16 (+1 from race)
Constitution 14 (+1 from race)
Intelligence 8
Wisdom 12
Charisma 14

Background
Soldier (Officer)
Personality Traits: I'm always polite and respectful
I can stare down a hell hound without flinching
Ideal: Nation. My City, Nation, or people are all that matter.
Bond: I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves
Flaw: I obey the law, even if the law causes misery.

Skills:
Athletics
Acrobatics
Insight
Intimidation
Persuasion

Equipment:
chain mail
shield
crossbow, hand
martial weapon
explorer's pack
holy symbol
rank insignia
trophy
set of bone dice OR deck of cards
set of common clothes
belt pouch

Captain America was pretty much a no brainier. Paladins often follow some sort of code, and the Oath of Devotion is basically an overall upgraded version of the regular Paladin. Here, you can say that Steve was essentially the first Paladin in history, taking on some evil army before winding up in the future from some freezing-hibernation spell. The main reason why Cap's intelligent is low is mainly because, if we're being honest, he most likely didn't get an education, and is a fish out of water in the present. He's not stupid, just not really bright, but more than make it up with being a leader

Iron Man

Race: Human (Variant)
+1 to Intelligence
+1 to Charisma
Feat: Keen Mind (+1 to Intelligence)

Class: Artificer (Battlesmith)

Ability scores:
Strength 12
Dexterity 8
Constitution 14
Intelligence 17(+2 from race and feat)
Wisdom 10
Charisma 14 (+1 from race)

Background:
Guild Artisan (Smiths and Metal Forgers)
Personality Traits: I'm full of Witty aphorisms and have a proverb for every ocassion
I'm well known for my work, and I want to make sure everyone appreciates it. I'm always taken aback when people haven't heard of me .
Ideal: Community. It is the duty of all civilized people to strengthen the bonds of community and the security of civilization (Lawful)
Bond: The workshop where I learned my trade is the most important place in the world for me.
Flaw: I'm horribly jealous of anyone who can outshine my handiwork. Everywhere I go, I'm surrounded by rivals.

Skills:
Arcana
History
Investigation
Insight
Persuasion

Equipment:
scale mail
dagger
light hammer
light crossbow
bolts (20)
thieves' tools
dungeoneer's pack
set of artisan's tools of your choice
letter of introduction
set of bone dice OR deck of cards
set of traveler's clothes
belt pouche

Iron Man was also pretty easy. If you don't know, an Artificer is from Ebberon, the 13th official class, who's main way of playing is to essentially make and/or upgrade equipment. His archetype, the Battlesmith, allows him to use Martial weapons, upgrade his armor usage to medium, and can make a robotic companion that's nearly unkillable. This can be this Tony's version of Jarvis, and though he won't be able to shoot lasers, Tony is all about having the right armor for the right job, crafting and upgrading everything to their best.

Thor

Race: Aasimar (Protector)
+2 to Charisma
+1 to Wisdom

Class: Cleric (Tempest Domain)

Ability scores:
Strength 15
Dexterity 12
Constitution 14
Intelligence 10
Wisdom 14 (+1 from race)
Charisma 10 (+2 from race)

Background:
Noble
Personality Traits: My eloquent flattery makes everyone I talk to feel like the most wonderful and important person in the world.
Ideal: Family. Blood runs thicker than water
Bond: The common folk must see me as a hero of the people
Flaw: In fact, the world does revolve around me.

Skills:
History
Religion
Insight
Persuasion

Equipment:
scale mail
shield
Warhammer
unarmed strike
priest's pouch
holy symbol
set of fine clothes
signet ring
scroll of pedigree
purse

Thor was a lot more tricky, since he's... Well, a god. But an Aasimar is a close second; they're a race of people that look human or Elven, but have blood connections to the gods, able to answer them, or ignore. Here, your Aasimar is probably blessed by Odin himself, and you take on trying to be Thor as a Cleric of the Tempest Domain, which is all about the storm and lightning. Plus, like Thor, you can fly, but spreading wings out instead of using your hammer

Hulk.

Race: Orc
+2 to Strength
+1 to Constitution
-2 to Intelligence

Class: Barbarian (Berserker)

Ability scores:
Strength 16 (+2 from race)
Constitution 16 (+1 from race)
Dexterity 13
Intelligence 6 (-2 from race)
Wisdom 10
Charisma 12

Background
Hermit
(Life of Seclusion: I retreated from society after a life altering event.)
Character Traits: I've been isolated for so long that I rarely speak, preferring gestures and the ocassional grunt
I'm oblivious to ettiquite and social expectations
Ideal: Self-knowledge. If you know yourself, there's nothing left to know. (Any)
Bond: I entered seclusion to hide from the ones who might still be hunting me. I must someday confront them.
Flaw: I harbor dark, bloodthirsty thoughts that my isolation and meditation failed to quell.

Skills:
Athletics
Religion
Medicine
Survival
Intimidation

Equipment:
glaive
unarmed strike
javelin (4)
explorer's pack
scroll case full of notes
winter blanket
herbalism kit
set of common clothes

Remember when I said that Captain America's low intelligence doesn't make him stupid? Well.. that doesn't really count here, with the Hulk. If you want to make an Endgame Hulk, then that'd work best with a Half-Orc, but that might be later. Here, Bruce Banner was probably cursed to become the hulk from some spell gone wrong, or by someone. Either way, he's now an Orc, a brutish, Monsterous race, where he has little control over the beast when he gets angry. If I were to make a Bruce Banner Character sheet, then the best way is to just make him plain with only high intelligence.

Hawkeye

Race: Human (Variant)
+1 to Dexterity
+1 to Constitution
Feat: Crossbow Expert

Class: Fighter (Arcane Archer)
(Archery Fighting Style)

Ability scores:
Strength 14
Dexterity 16 (+1 from race)
Constitution 14 (+1 from race)
Intelligence 10
Wisdom 12
Charisma 8

Background:
Faction Agent
Character Traits: I idolize a particular hero of my faction
Ideal: Aspersion. I seek to prove myself worthy of my faction's favor by matching my actions with their teachings (Any)
Bond: I owe my life to the agent who took me in.
Flaw: Once I pick a goal, I become obsessed with it to the detriment of everything else in my life.

Skills:
Acrobatics
Arcane
History
Insight
Perception
Survival

Equipment:
leather armor
longbow
crossbow, heavy
longbow
light crossbow
arrows (20)
bolts (20)
explorer's pack
Emblem or badge
faction book
set of common clothes
pouch

You might think Hawkeye might work well as a ranger, but hear me out. The Arcane Archer allows you to infuse magic into your arrows, which is basically the closest thing to Hawkeye's various trick arrows. Plus, the Ranger is pretty weak, and useless if they're not in their preferred terrain.

Black Widow

Race: Human (Variant)
+1 to Dexterity
+1 to Intelligence
Feat: Actor (+1 to Charisma)

Class: Rogue (Assassin)

Ability scores:
Strength 10
Dexterity 16 (+1 from race)
Constitution 8
Intelligence 14 (+1 from race)
Wisdom 12
Charisma 15 (+1 from feat)

Background:
Faction Agent
Character Traits: I am tolerant (or intolerant) of other factions and respect (or condemn) them.
Ideal: Faith. I trust my leader will guide my actions. I have faith that if I work hard, things will go well (Lawful)
Bond: I will do anything to protect the faction where I served
Flaw: I judge others harshly, and myself even more severely.

Skills:
Acrobatics (expertise)
Stealth (expertise)
Investigation
Insight
Perception
Deception
Persuasion.

Equipment:
leather armor
shortsword
shortbow
dagger (2)
arrows (20)
burglar's pack
thieves' tools
Emblem or badge
faction book
set of common clothes
pouch

Last, but not least, is Black Widow. She's was practically a no brainier. The Assassin Archetype IS Black Widow, taking on various disguises and taking out important targets. And as you saw, Hawkeye and Black Widow have the same background. The faction,if you can guess already, is SHIELD, and though the Special feature is that an Agent is watching you, that can be overruled with the two watching each other.

And there you have it. The Avengers as DND Characters. What do you think about it? Should I do Phase 2 next? Do one for the Justice League and it's members? Or do you want to say this is too geeky and hope I die a virgin? Please leave a comment below, and I hope to see you next time.
