    Blog Post #24: Miscellaneous update

Since I did blog posts of the El Camino and Doctor Sleep trailers, I figured I'd do one giving my opinions of those movies now that they're out, and maybe something more.

    Blog Post #22: World's weird

Apparently somebody else has come up with the concept of Eris the R63 Discord and a human sharing the same body. And I thought I was being too surreal. :rainbowlaugh:

Anyone else excited for the Breaking Bad movie? (Blog Post #21)

It's kind of the perfect time for this movie to come out for me, as I only started watching Breaking Bad two years(rushing through season 1 in one day because it was so captivating), and have seen every episode of Better Call Saul as well.
I am pumped for this. Expectations?

Blog Post #24: Miscellaneous update · 8:47pm February 4th

Since I did blog posts of the El Camino and Doctor Sleep trailers, I figured I'd do one giving my opinions of those movies now that they're out, and maybe something more.

El Camino I found kind of disappointing in retrospect. I guess Better Call Saul had given me such a high opinion of the production team and their creativity that I was let down when all this film turned out to be really was a nostalgia trip. A well done nostalgia trip that I'd rewatch alongside the series if I ever go back, but still. I was expecting Jesse to get embroiled in his own storyline where he gets pursued across America, but whatever.

Doctor Sleep, by complete contrast, pretty much exceeeded all expectations. What a gloriously inventive sequel, and I'm not just talking about the bits that Stephen King wrote. The Shining 2 segment of the film was absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to show it to my dad(I introduced him to the original film)!

A new Human Pet chapter isn't far at all - I realise the majority of you found the quick resolution from last time to be a little too quick, so I'm planning to do a series of chapters focusing on each of the Mane Six and their thoughts and perspective on Anon, just to iron things out and for some well-deserved fluff after the lengthy Everfree Forest stay(anyone seen Rainbow Dash lately?). I'd also point out that it's unlikely this is the last time we'll see Care Taker.

Until next time!
