The eigth story has begun · 12:45am Feb 4th, 2020
I have now just published and submitted the start of my next story, LEGO Equestria Girls 8. Because I intend to get through all of last year's major official content by the end of this year, this will be the first of three stories I'll try to start and complete this year. As usual, I'll be posting new chapters at a rate of once every two weeks.
This time, I'm already off to a rough start, unfortunately. Normally, I'd like to get started with writing on each chapter four weeks before I plan on posting them, so that in case if anything happens that takes away some available time for writing, I can still have plenty of time to finish these chapters well before my self-imposed deadlines. However, another project came up last month that turned out to be so time-consuming that I wasn't able to even get started on writing this next story until two weeks after I had hoped to get started on it. And since that first chapter turned out quite long, I had to really use every bit of free time I had for these past two weeks to write it (often resulting in only a few hours of sleep for most nights over the entire past month). I was able to finish it just two days before my deadline, which is probably the closest I've ever come on any chapter of all my stories. At this rate, there's a possibility I may end up pushing myself hard for the rest of this story, so I guess it's a good thing I've got only six chapters planned for it, so it won't be long before I can finally be able to take a much-needed break ahead of the next story.
I've already mentioned my plans for the remainder of my LEGO Equestria Girls series in my previous blog posts, so I won't go over the whole thing all over again. Instead, I'll just give a brief reminder that for this year, I intend to start the ninth main story (based on Sunset's Backstage Pass) in June, and then the holiday short stories in October. Obviously, I'll be quite busy this year, but the fact that it's three separate stories instead of one continuous story means that I'll be able to relax and reset my pace on two separate occasions (and with the incredibly late start I got on the first one for this year, I'll definitely need that first upcoming break less than three months from now).
That pretty much covers everything important I can think of for now. I hope everyone will enjoy reading LEGO Equestria Girls 8.
Just out of curiosity, whatever happened to the lego version of Lightning Dust? I remember her escaping prison at some point but don't remember her reappearing again.
