The tenth story has begun · 1:00am Mar 2nd, 2021
I have now just published and submitted the start of my next story, LEGO Equestria Girls 10. Well, everyone, it's finally here. The very first LEGO Equestria Girls story not based on any official content, and therefore consists almost entirely of my own original ideas.
As you might recall from my previous blog posts, this story will feature the Lego World's version the the Changelings and the return of Starlight Glimmer from Equestria. In addition, this story will also include certain themes and aspects I had wanted to show for years, such as where all the plastic that forms all the bricks and parts in the Lego World comes from (something I came up with over five years ago and had since been hoping for a good opportunity to introduce), as well as include a brief crossover with Ninjago for what will probably be two or three chapters. Even though I believe the best stuff will come in the later upcoming stories, what I've got lined up for this year's main story could prove to be much better than what most of the earlier stories had to offer.
As proud as I am to finally get this story underway, there's some unfortunate realities that I must confess. As you're already aware from what I mentioned a few months ago, I was forced to postpone the start of this latest story about a month later than I had originally planned. Although I was able to get it started this month, I only just barely made it possible. Earlier this month, I was finally able to watch Seasons 1-10 of Ninjago, which I've decided will be enough for the purpose of including those characters in this story, but it understandably took up a huge amount of my available time. Despite the fact that I'm now doing my writing online with an Office account rather than on a now obsolete version of Word (a change which I had believed would make writing easier and more convenient for me), I somehow have ended up writing even slower than usual, to the point that in my effort to finish writing the prologue chapter this past week, I spent more time sleeping while seated in front of my computer rather than lying in my bed. Even though I will continue to try my best to keep up with my typical schedule of publishing one chapter every two weeks, I must face the fact that I'm now bordering on my physical limits, and therefore I must let you all be aware there may be a real possibility that I might not be able to complete a chapter on time and in which case I will likely not post it until one week later than planned. I know it seems ridiculous that I've been pushing myself to follow a schedule that admittedly is of no real consequence to anyone at all, but after several years of consistency, I'm sure there's at least some less informed readers who have come to expect nothing less (not to mention, my OCD makes the idea of even a single delay by just one day seem unacceptable). I'm honestly starting to think this might be a sign that, once I eventually finish the remaining stories in this series, I should never again attempt to write another multi-story fanfiction series.
I think that covers everything important for now. I hope everyone will enjoy reading LEGO Equestria Girls 10.
