I just don’t have the drive anymore

I tried o really did. However it just not there anymore.

I just don’t have the desire to write. I deleted the story “Me, Myself, and I” because it just had two chapters.

I’m resetting the story “Mother Moon, Fallen Sunset” to canceled.

Sorry for all those that followed me, the spark of writing just not there.

    Sorry for taking so long

One of the reasons I stopped writing was that I had far less time on my hands. Not only am I now working full time, I have no one at home doing housework. So all that dirty laundry, dishes, and yardwork falls on me. My sister lives with me but is almost as lazy as Zephyr Breeze (JK). She's a great teacher; she's always working on a project for her class or crafting.

I have the names for my OC.

The three heads for my Chimera would be named. Wynken Blynken and Nod for the old Lullaby.

Yup it's official I'm writing Me, Myself, and I instead of the other story.

I just spent the Fourth of July writing, and I already have a higher word count than the other story I'm working on. The chapter reaches 1900+ words, and I still have more to do. The updated paid Grammarly has some nice features that make finding those pesky grammar errors easier.

It seems I got it done today! Well, July 5th at 1:am my time.

I hate my muse. Really sometimes it like my muse is drunk.

It will be a little longer than I thought for the story of another entity in Luna's body with Nightmare Moon and Luna herself.

I have to write up a more detailed outline. I realized I had an exciting start but didn't have a story arc.

Can I fire my muse? · 11:33am Feb 1st, 2020

Well here I am about finished with the second installment of the Mother Moon Trilogy.

Then an idea pops into my head of a little girl looking at Vice Principal Luna and asks “So your my mommy?” The idea of Nightshade going into the Equestria girls universe was born.

I’m still got a few issues to figure out for the last of the Mother Moon trilogy. So doing a side story idea could give me time to figure out the problem I have.

On top of that I got a whole other project developing in my head! Kind of a self insert/human in Equestria story With a twist I think you all would enjoy.

I know how you feel. Currently I have a lot of story ideas floating around in my head (not all of them are MLP, so you probably won't see them on this site). Here's a trick I've picked up, though it might not work for everyone:

Try to play out the story in your head-it's okay if you forget an idea completely, it'll probably come back to you later! Once you have some free time, write the basic summary out on a piece of paper, or a blank Google Docs/Word document. Then either pin up the paper somewhere you can see it, or mark the Google Docs/Word as important (it's called pinning it on Word). That way, the next time you feel like writing something new, but don't have any ideas, you have a few in storage to pull out and work on. It's also helpful because sometimes writing something else can help get you past writers block on other stories.

I hope this is helpful, I know it's a lot to read, sorry! :twilightsheepish:

That good advice and not long at all. I'm kind of impressed with my imagination I often visualize my story out in my head plotting each step along the way but leave enough gaps for wiggle room and changes. Mentally I outline the story and I can tell you the rough outline, plots, and character concepts of each story. Guess it's part of my Aspergers syndrome, I have a very detailed and complex imagination. At the same time, I have problems figuring out emotional reactions. The last chapter of Mother Moon, Daughter Nightmare is a good example of me struggling with emotions. I'm not happy with Celestia when she found out Nightshade was indeed Nightmare Moon.

It an emotional arc I'm trying to figure out how to get right in the third story. Plotting out the Equestrian Girl story, being tempted to do a HiE story (Two or Three ideas are competing for this idea). Plus the short stories I thought up for Joys of Parenthood (next one is either Nightshade's first birthday or the Formation of the Canterlot Cutie Mark Crusaders.) Each one I can visualize in my head, translating what I visualize into words is where I hit road blocks.

Those are good ideas too. I think that if that strategy is working best for you right now, you should keep using it. Though I'm glad I could help.
