I've been on holiday for a while, so here's a rundown of where I am and what you can expect from me:
My commissions are my priority, and with a few of them to do, that'll be taking the vast majority of my time and energy. Beyond that, I'm trying to write for a competition, which leaves me a small amount of time to keep writing Galvanised. I'm excited for this chapter, since it revolves around my favourite ship, and I've seen a fair few people express interest in seeing a chapter devoted to the two birbs of the Student Six. Yes, it's the one, the only, the wholesome af ship we love to call Gallstream. I've listened to what people have said, and I want to assure everyone that I'll be working to include all the elements that people love.
Beyond the obvious clop element (which I'm having fun with so far), it's far more steeped in romance and cognitive dissonance, as well as personal development, which is something interesting to play around with. Why just have sexy students sleeping with each other in salacious detail when you can have deep introspection of each character's exposure to romance and relationships, or lack thereof, and how they react and deal with unexpected feelings as a result? So far, most of what I've written is character development and reflection, but I'm not giving up on the steamy parts, and I hope that the finished product is a balance of heart and hot.
I've also got a spin-off story planned, but that's a future goal, in spite of how developed it is in theory. On the upside, more Gallstream content on the way, eventually. On the downside, there's the heavy emphasis on the eventually.
