Ok, thank you guys for your suggestions. I have picked parts here and there from them and I thing I have a good idea. But I'm struggling to write this stories story. If you would like to help me with it I would be most appreciative, it doesn't need to be long and there doesn't need be names.
Here is the introduction to the story.
Celestia walked over to the group of girls and cleared her throat. "First off, no animals, or creatures were harmed in the telling of this story." Said Celestia, she remembered to take that into account for Fluttershy. "Long ago, there was a land ruled by 10 kings, each king had a daughter that they loved very much, but sadly this was the problem. You see, each king loved their daughters to the point that the princess felt trapped in their own homes. There also lived a magical beast that lived deep in the heart of the kingdoms in a forest so thick that non ever dared explore it. For you see there lived a massive dragon. Dragons were feared by all because of their size and strength, but this was all a lie, dragons are kind, intelligent and magical beings, but sadly non would listen to them, and long ago many just disappeared into the sky. But one stayed, he thought he could show the world that dragons were not monsters. This dragon was a noble soul who saw the understanding of others view of him and did not judge them for his kinds leaving. But one day, it was decided that all the kings would come together and discuss issues that plagued their kingdoms, and it was decided that to hold this meeting in a neutral ground. That ground was determined to be an ancient castle in the heart of the forest, and the long forgotten home of their ancestors. But they were unaware that this was the current home of the last dragon in the lands. This is where our story begins."
Please I want to make this feel like a real story that a group of kids would love to hear. Thanks for all of the support.
So far, so good. But, you misspelled 'None'.
Hmm. How about...
The dragon, for as big and fearsome as it was, was actually very shy and timid. He also knew that many a knight would seek fame in taming him. Being trapped in a cage for people to stare at while being told untrue tales of what he would do if let out was not the way the dragon wanted to interact with the people beyond his home.
The dragon was friends with many of the forest animals. He had also learned how to talk with the creatures who took sanctuary in and around his home. So it was no surprise that a group of creatures hurried to the dragon's home to warn him of the many kings, queens, princes, princesses, and knights who'd soon be coming his way very soon.
(Insert a moment for the children to give ideas of what the dragon should do)
Well, the dragon was really scared. However one of his oldest friends (Maybe another mythical creature with a long lifespan) suggested this be a perfect opportunity to show the humans that dragons were not what legends made them out to be. So the woodland creatures went about tidying up the castle as the dragon used one of his magical artifacts to transform himself into a regal-looking prince.
This could be a point where Rarity shouts out something about the prince looking like Spike and Cadence blushing as, if I recall right, she is still planning to ask him out at the end of the day
The story could then go on to discuss how the various Kings and Queens arrive and are surprised someone had taken to the old castle. The 'prince' would use what he knew about human culture to try and be a good host but be just a bit funny as animals would still be running about the place and acting as aids to him.
A princess, or more than one princess, may eventually find out the dragon's secret and, as they like the dragon and want to help him not be 'tamed', they would help him to learn human customs and succeed with the meeting of the leaders of the various kingdoms. Perhaps each princess could just conveniently have an interest in relation to one of the girls in the daycare?
I hope this helps. The end could be as simple as everyone leaving and the princesses promising to come back and visiting. then, through time, their time as leaders would make alliances with the dragon's castle and go on to allow the dragon to be a dragon who lives in peace as the moderator of the 12 kingdoms. :)
