IDW Friendship is Magic #1 [Spoilers]

So I have some free time and nothing to do so I decided to read some comics and write some random things about them. Because I can.
Today we have IDW Friendship is Magic #1 "Return of Queen Chrysalis". Part one.

Hard to pinpoint the exact timeframe of the story - obviously after Canterlot Wedding but before Magical Mystery Cure.

1) Ponies have their own anthropology - but in their case it "hippology". Nothing unusual but still. They also use Latin in their science. Or pony-Latin?

2) Fluttershy backyard could put some zoo in shame - she has hippo, lion, tiger, flamingo, koala, some circus bear and lots of other animals. Where the hell she find them? And how she gets the money to feed them? She doesn't have any visible means of income so how? Well, some of them ended up being changelings but I assume that they replaced the real animals.

3) Some collage page that includes Mayor Mare banner for reelection, fake mustache stand (I think that fake mustache vendor has a cutie mark that looks like Ferrari emblem) and two stereotypical government agents.

4) Ponies behave strangely. Like they braindead or zombies. At first, I assumed that changelings used some means of mind control but several pages after Twilight suggested that they all changelings in disguise. If this is true then why the hell they behave so strange?

5) Rainbow said that she has trouble remember Canterlot Wedding because she drank Pinkie "tutti-frutti sherbet sugar punch" and everything after this is a blur. So she spends most of the episode being drunk?

6) Twilight put some "extensive" notes on changelings. She actually wrote a sizeable "journal" on events of Canterlot Wedding. At least several hundred pages from the look of it.

6) Some books in Twilight library - "Herding cats", "Incident at Santa Mire", "Why apes will rule" and "To serve ponies".

7) Twilight sent a letter to Celestia through Spike and got a form letter as an answer.

Dear correspondent:
I am unavailable due to a royal emergency. Please try sending your letter again at a later time.

So not only Spike can send dragon flame letters to Celestia? Because otherwise, such a formal tone doesn't make any sense. Well, unless Princess put some random schmuck from government office answering Twilight letters while she was gone.

8) M6 "disguised" themselves by behaving as they are brain-damaged. It worked. Obviously average changeling not the brightest bulb in the box.

9) Chrysalis send communication crystal ball to Spike.

10) Twilight mentioned "Secretary Comet" and "Horse Head Nebula". Supposedly every three thousand years this comet passed through Horse Head Nebula which leads to some heavy magical effects. Question is - how they even know this? Do ponies have astronomical records that go back at least three thousand years? Or they somehow able to analyze comet effect using astronomical instruments?
