I honestly think that this site needs better security that actually prevents spammers from accessing FIMFiction

Please don't do it, the culprint uses a VPN the site is working on it, but until they can develop a counter measure to that there is little they can do.

I know your pain, but the problem is that the staff currently has no way to get around his VPN protection, maybe instead of leaving you could turn off your group notifications?
5168655 BluePony1 does have a point. Could you turn off your group notifications then you won't have to see the nsfw.
