Feeling sad today

Nostalgia is just hitting me. Went through some of my liked videos and listened to some video game music. The Genesis Shining Force games, Undetale, the sad themes from Sonic Adventure 1, and it's just... I remember a time when these were a ll a big part of my life. I can still enjoy them, but you'll never quite have that experience again as you had playing through them the first time.

Now that I'm an adult and technology has come so far I've gotten a lot of the games I used to have as a kid to see how they hold up today. Some of the games I thought were awesome back then just aren't as good now. Some of them that I thought I was just too young to really be skilled at actually were just terrible, or I'm still not good at them.

And some of them I've just played so much over the years I've lost interest. Or they're just so easy now they're not enough of a challenge to retain my attention.

It just kinda hurts when the things that used to make you so happy when you were younger just don't mean the same to you today.
