Chapter 20, part 4 out · 7:54am Nov 20th, 2019
I had this song entirely on repeat as I wrote this chapter- which is why I named it after this particular song. It fit too well to not use.
Ended on a positive note. Needed something slightly more hopeful cause the rest of the chapter might be somewhat of a downer.
But the big Flutterdash scene (or technically four connected smaller scenes) really took like no time to write. Loved that section no matter if it might come off a bit sentimental sometimes. Really wanted that scene or something like that in there to cement where I wanted the relationship to be at the end of what I term as Part 1 of the story.
I would have added more scenes after it, but the mood shifts right about the time Nightmare Night starts in my plot line of "general things to happen" And I just felt right to end it there. I don't have any odd feelings or slight misgivings about where I ended it.
Also the next chapter might be late in coming. Working at a theater during the busiest time of the year (Thanksgiving to January, especially with how Star Wars is coming) makes me think that it might be a while. Weekly progress will still happen, but slowly.
Oh and I thankfully got like 95 percent of this chapter done last week cause this week has been rather crazy- not because of work- but because one of my mom's old boyfriends- and the one that spent a lot of time at our house after they broke up on friendly terms just died like two days ago. Out of nowhere. Literally just say him like two days before he died and so we've been dealing with that. My mind was rather elsewhere this week.
But yeah people can just die whenever so that really bummed us all out. Oh and I guess my brother is on some rather heated terms with my mom again, but that's not new. So I've had a lot of IRL stuff this week swamp me. It's fine, it was a shock, but it's getting more real.
The flutterdash scenes were my fave part of the chapter.
This nightmare night... I hope for some Twiluna... Maybe some Luna oggling Twilight (who I assume would still be a stallion...?) and cute things happen. Although with you saying a mood shift is coming, maybe it won't be so cute.
IRL doesnt sound so fun, but I hope you try and enjoy work in the theater at this time of year (hopefuly also more pay too...?)

Oh I plan on having Twilight and Luna get really close these coming chapters. Maybe not in the way you'd expect, but definitely will get them to run straight into each other. Just well, I have all those other plot threads to deal with- Diamond Tiara, the deer, everything with Sour Sweet and Sugarcoat. I plan on the final chapter of this part with a big TwiLuna scene (at least I'm planning so) similar to the Flutterdash scene I did.
