Last G4 Post: Announcements

So Friendship is Magic has finally ended. It's been a long time coming, so here's some announcements.

1. Pokemon Ray/Shade/Chaos

So lately, I've been making an OST of Pokemon Ray/Shade/Chaos, a set of alternate Generation 3 Pokemon games for the Gameboy Color. It incorporates many elements of Friendship is Magic into the setting such as the modeling of Equinto, these games' Pokemon regions.

New features:
-Quality of Life stat for new evolutions
-Some Pokemon are now assemblable (the stat will either say NAT or ASM)
-Held Item level-up evolutions
-Heavier item organization
-New evolution items and stones
-Longer messages
-New apricorns (Silver, Gold, Aqua)
-Tool Ball, for catching pokemon with the ASM status.
-Power Ball, for earning money in wild encounters without Pay Day
-Comfy Ball, for boosting quality of life.

2. Channel Recontinuation

So now for this channel. I won't be doing anything right away, but when Generation 5 airs, I may start writing new Generation 4 stores and continuing old ones I left on hold.

3. New AU Season 5+ series

Season 5 of Friendship is Magic where the show started pumping out lazy redemptions and only preaching values that were practiced in the first four seasons. Most of the wholesome content that the show provided was going away in exchange for half-baked tropes that were heard to be good but only are actually good in the environment that show had before as the show had heightened the scope of its setting around the same time.

Basically what I'm going to be doing is writing an Alternate Universe fic where the writers never listened to the fandom and kept making what the audience had come for in the first place, or in other words, averting the Game Freak effect, a capitalization on newfound fame.

Season 5's probably going to be the easiest to do as most of the problems there are so broadly obvious that I could rewrite each episode within a single day dialogue and all. As each season goes on, I dread the burnout of finding something enlightening, although a certain series may just help me with that.

And I think that's about it. If Gen 5 turns out to be good I'll let y'all know.

UPDATE: I have discovered, upon implementing the new Time Capsule to regain compatibility with Pokemon Gold and Silver, that longer mail messages is impossible to implement. Everything else listed in the features for Pokemon Ray is already either fully implemented or in the process of being implemented.
