Random: Anyone else get these? · 4:23am Oct 8th, 2019
Warning, spoiler for story contained within.
Preface: I've been expanding upon my post-secondary education for the better part of a decade.
I started getting these dreams after I graduated college. Actually, I blame my dad for putting them in my head because I didn't start getting them till he told me about his.
Basically, they're of me nearing the end of my studies and preparing for graduation, only to discover that I'm missing a class. Typically, the class is some sort of science (usually biology) and it's either a class I didn't know I had signed up for, or (most common) it's a class that I can't seem to get to even if I tried. I'd generally head out at a good time, get myself lost on campus, or delayed somehow, and then arrive just as class was finishing, if at all. Probably what is most frustrating for me is I always start on-campus. I'm not stuck in traffic, or driving around looking for a parking spot (real waking-world problems)--this is just me walking to class.
I recently had a variant where I was at risk of failing a required biology class for my major because I'd missed too many sessions (note: my current major is architecture and my undergrad was business. Yes, this was a biology course taught by a school of architecture). I did, eventually, make it to once class, but soon realized it was the right room, right teacher, wrong class and wrong day (I think that "class" was an upper division).
At any rate, I was just curious if anyone else experienced similar dreams and what sort of scenarios you found yourself in. If you happen to not partake in these dreamland wanderings, I hope you found this a bit amusing.
