This and That · 2:35am Oct 5th, 2019
Well, I'm happy to say that That is doing much better than I had anticipated, so a big thank you to all o' youse for having a read of That! It kinda came out on a whim one rainy morning, so here we are. Also, I had a ton of fun making the cover for it, and I used that streak to produce a second cover, though I still like the first one more. Have a look see:
Unfortunately, I have been quite busy as of late, so I am unable to draw as much as I would like to, but I certainly wouldn't say no to producing another piece of That, so stay tuned! I also have one other side art piece I'm working on, but other than that, if any other ideas of That pop up, I'll be sure to add it here.
I suppose I should add a little on the origins of That as well. It came out in the form of a movie poster I had done for Plums a while back for our Bloodlines Continuity (Yes, we kinda butcher the name and content of posters).
So as with all the other posters and really anything we're referencing in the story from the real world, It has become That. I suppose Stephen King would also have a different name in our Bloodlines Continuity, but we'll get to that when we get to that, eh? Everyone's favourite child-eating clown has also adopted using balls instead of balloons, because... Well... Just because.
I also planned to change the look a little. In the book, Pennywise is meant to lure kids in, because kids just love clowns, and a scary clown (Such as Bill Skarsgard's It) doesn't quite match that feel, so for That, He won't have that scary red line going up through his eyes from his lips. And the outfit will probably be a little different too. And well, not like he really looks any less scary, but you get the idea.
So we'll just keep things going in That, and we'll see just where it all leads us in the end. But we all know that just as the story begins with That, the story will end with That. Just like That. Ok, enough playing with That.
Cheers! And thanks so much for enjoying That!
