I was watching the premiere, when I thought to myself "Hey, Celestia actually seems cool with the dark magic look", this causes me to be conflicted on the fact that while Celestia is portrayed as benevolent, she definitely has a manipulative edge. Which does fit with the dark magic, for example, the series premiere showed her denying the correlation of the so called fairy tale and reality, all to further her plans, which is why I like Luna, she is never underhanded with her emotions, and always says how she feels, which is why she is best princess.
