Everyone in my family has been in the United States Military. Every one of them have served active duty. If you've ever got a letter saying they aren't coming home then you understand what the fic will contain. An act of heroism in some's eyes can lead to self loathing for the one the hero saved.
Rainbow Dash did her duty to Equestria, and now those she saved will start picking up the pieces of their shattered heart.
I've never written a first person sad fic...so this may take a while. This one hits close to home.

Thestral with a Golden Halo is projected to contain 30 chapters total. I got a question regarding this. So um, the answer is 30, currently.
Politically correct Equestria: seriously don't take it to heart or even serious, I was sitting on discord and a friend of mine helped me brainstorm an over the top shit show of a PC based situation, I wrote it down. I made sure to leave my actual political views out of it. The cover and description alone should clarify that the entire thing is a goof; not satire not based on current events, just a laugh waiting to be had. Don't take any of it seriously.
