Dear Journal,
We’ve completed scans of sector 117. No luck. The other sages and I are becoming despondent. There is talk among the others on whether Princess Celestia will EVER be found! While I cannot blame them for feeling this way, we mustn’t give up hope! The princess didn’t give up on Equestria in the past, so we must mustn’t give up on her!
The Lord Regent has seen fit to assign me an assistant. A young dragon named Spike. While he may be small, he’s already shown himself to be quite capable of carrying out my instructions. He claims to have been hatched right here in Canterlot! While I hadn’t heard of this, many things escape my notice, as I’m otherwise preoccupied with my duties. In any case, I must return to work now. Even over the din of… whatever is going on elsewhere in the castle, my resolve will not waver!
