Progress / Update · 3:30pm Aug 30th, 2019
Hello! It has been an amount of time since I last gave an update, so here I am.
Last night was the final night of the Browns preseason, which means that starting next week, the regular season can finally begin! I missed football, and I'm so excited! But, enough of that.
Today is my final day for the Summer term. And let me tell you, it has been an absolute shitshow of a term. I have a final paper due tonight that is over the dumbest and monotonous prompt I have ever had. And the prompt itself is 7 pages with three sections... I finished the first section yesterday, and the paper is already NINE pages long. It is due tonight. So... fae to that.
Now, time for the fimfics update. Progress is... progressing. The prologue has its skeleton written and I'm writing about a page-and-a-half per day with the first chapter. Still in it's skeleton form. I actually restarted the chapter because the first version felt... wrong. So I went in a completely different direction!
Also, my prereaders who are prereading the pre-rough draft tend to like it. Which means I must be doing something good.
Also, I'm working on a major collab with someone who has quickly grown into a really close friend. No idea when that will publish, but we have already worked out a ton of the story plot and have decided to (likely) create a seperate account and post it there. Personally, I think he should publish it on his account, he is doing more writing with it than I am. Right now, it isn't his or my main focus, he wants to finish up a story or two before he makes a priority... but we both really like the idea.
We also have a potential idea for a sequel and spinoff too, cause just like the main series, those exist! Well, not a sequel but the spinoff. I may do that. If I can get enough confidence in my writing.
ANYWAY, just figured I'd give an update. I'm writing routinely now, and even if I hate it, I figure I may as well continue since others seem to like it.
Hope to give you an update in another month or so, when the next term starts, the Browns are 3-0, and I hopefully have 30k written!
