Dear Diary,
The end is near for my daughter and I. There is no food left in my house, nor at any of the local stores! It matters little, as I don’t have money to buy anything anyways. We’ve received word that the leader of Equestria’s flagship is approaching our borders. His reputation says he’s a very powerful warrior in addition to being very crafty. The yaks fared poorly against him not long ago. What hope does what’s left of our military have against him?! This may very well be the end of our nation. Enslavement at best, death at the very worst.
I only pray that my daughter and I are shown mercy and given a quick death. That would be preferred to the slow and painful demise from starvation.
