Dear Diary,
General Virtuous Lance and I met with Lord Regent Arc this afternoon. He's... pretty big, but very... I don't know... personable? While I believe he'll do fine in the day to day activities of the princesses, I worry how his tranquil and reluctant demeanor would hold up during a conflict! Our nation is in a difficult position right now, what with Princess Celestia gone.
The General suggested a culling of the Everfree Forest to Lord Arc during the meeting. He didn't go for it. This worries me! While bloody, their demise would be in the interest of our national security! Why doesn't Lord Arc see the larger picture here?! While I don't completely agree with him, or his methods, I am first and foremost a soldier. Inexperienced leader or not, he's our Lord Regent until the princesses wake up! I only hope we can hold out until then!
