Taylor started her career with Hanna-Barbera, voicing characters for The Flintstone Comedy Show in the early ’80s. Eventually, though, she’d work for just about everybody in the animation biz—especially Disney, where she was hired in 1986 to take on the voice of Minnie Mouse, a role that she would continue to perform regularly for the rest of her life.

Whether we realized/fully appreciated it back then, Russi Taylor provided the voices to many of our childhood favorites, not just Minnie. Her career included roles in, amongst others, The Simpsons, Duck Tales, and (rather fittingly for this site) even the original My Little Pony cartoon.

So thank you, Russi, for helping to shape the childhoods of nearly four decades' worth of children all around the world.
