Everything went better than expected · 3:38am Nov 11th, 2012

And I was worried about the season premiere debunking my fic-canon.

Heh.

Heh heh.

Hahahahahahahaha!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

HA.

I want to be on the record as saying this: The Season 3 premiere meshes unexpectedly well with my outline for "The Stranger and Her Friend"; at the very least, it does not debunk it. The rest of season itself might mesh well, if my predictions are correct (and I don't think my predictions are not all that implausible). When the climax of my story comes, I want none of you to accuse me of changing the ending to stay in canon, because I promise, I totally didn't. Sure, I might now include subtle references to the Crystal Empire, but I think it'd be weird not to.

No no, my friends. The real magic comes when you realize you might have accidentally guessed things better than is believable.

(And now I'm waiting for that inevitable Celestia/Luna history episode that will completely destroy me.)

(Also, in celebration of Halo 4's release, have something that isn't Halo 4!)

well congratulations that your story wasn't affected by the season premiere, hopefully the season finale also meshes well and you can pull a "I totally called it" moment.

also you post halo 3!?! blasphemy! XD

I was pleasantly surprised as well. In particular, I liked how Rainbow Dash was a lot less of a stuck-up bitch. I can actually like her again. I liked how they let treated each character, though Shining was a bit flat- he needs to do some more joking around.

Rarity wins, though, with the best line of the series.

What did you think of the shadowy foreshadowing?

I'm not in the clear yet, but things went way better than they could have. :rainbowkiss:

That shadowy foreshadowing was definitely shadowy. I have speculated so hard my head hurts. Luna's srs face near beginning? The book at the end of the episode? The "next step" of Twilight's studies? The book at the end of the episode? Twilight actually using dark magic? The book at the end of the episode? I don't know what it means, but it was all quite nice.

Oh, and the actual episode was good, too. :trollestia: They definitely did well with characterization (almost as if they knew it was important to us!).

don't forget the book at the end of the episode
