Dear Diary,
Arc took the orphans and I to see a wondrous new building just down the way from Light's Hope. It's truly a magical place! The orphans appear at home here, and I must admit, so do I! But... I'm the new matron here! Can I really run this facility alone? Of course Miss Derpy is here as well, acting as my assistant! But... I can't help but wonder... I'm in Matron Tempest's job, and Miss Derpy is in my old position as assistant. Will I one day become just like her?! Hurting... beating... TORTURING?! No! I mustn't give in to such thoughts! I'm NOT Matron Tempest! I'm NOT cruel! I'm not... I'm not prepared for this!
Little ones... I'll do my best for you! But I know my best isn't good enough! You deserve so much more! I need to find those who can care for you properly! Who can give you all homes! I'll do my best! I'll try my hardest! I'll be the best matron I can be... for YOU, little ones!!!
