Are those American prices? Because, for example, Shadow of an Empire is showing at $7.61 (Canadian) though the link provided, and $9.99 on Amazon.ca. Colony is $5.83 through the link, or $7.66 though Amazon.ca.

I didn't think that the exchange rate was that bad.

Sorry, I spaced that Amazon does deals differently right now. All the same books will still be on sale, but starting July 5th in some countries, whereas they start today in other countries.

They should still see the discount by the start of the weekend though. Keep an eye on them, and sorry for the trouble.

I'll check again tomorrow, but the prices remain the same.

:applecry: I'm really sorry about that. Amazon's changes have made some things more difficult. What region are you in?

West coast of Canada.

Seriously? That's ... disappointing.

Well, having come to conclusion that I was being an idiot, I bought Shadows at full price. Which leads to my next question:

Can I get you paid twice if I read it on Kindle Unlimited, rate it, and then buy it outright?

I still feel apologetic that Amazon's weird pricing meant that you couldn't get in on the sale. I know it has to do with exchange rates and people taking advantage of their store, but it still sucks.

But yes, I do effectively get paid twice if someone reads the KU and then buys the book, or vice-versa. KU reads are calculated separately (but only once per reader in a set time frame, I think). I've had a lot of readers do that because they find it on KU and then want to own it when it's done.

Yeah, I've done that several times myself. I just wanted to make sure to do it this time if it did help.
