So . . . what did you guys think? I wasn't blown away by any of it, but there were some really good interactions between the Mane 6. Also, Spike was shown at his best throughout the whole episode. I just gained all my respect back for Spike. :D

I was blown away. My big problem with the wedding was the lack of focus on five of the mane six, so while Sombra was nothing as a villain, the episode had more of what I love about the show.
Of course, my POV is probably colored by my shipping goggles. There where several good AppleDash moments, and nothimg that's going to make this chapter of The AppleDash Project hard to write.
But does anyone else think that maybe AJ wasn't the best pony to guard the fake heart? I love AJ, but I'm just sayin'.
490903 Yeah, I thought that making AJ guard the fake heart was a really bad idea . . . I mean, she's the element of honesty and all, even if she didn't seem to have any problem with lying about the fake heart.
And yes, there were plenty of great shipping moments throughout the episode.
I'm so excited to see the installment of The AppleDash Project for this episode!!!
I liked it. A bit disappointed by King Sombra's lack of dialogue and personality, but I don't really mind generic doomsday villains, so it's ok for me.
I think it's a pretty good starter for the season.
