I've never watched Dr. Who—exactly how bad was it?

It made no sense. Firstly, spiders appeared in it that were one celled organisms. Just no.
Then, a dragon hatched from the moon and left a replacement moon that was the exact same size as the previous one. Also doesn't work.
Not tiomention one of the characters decided to put it to a vote whether the moon should be blown up. And then when the vote was in favour of yes, she inexplicably went against the majority opinion.
