Review:
The author begins with explaining how Twilight feels about "gut feelings" which is important to note throughout the story. I feel that overall the story provides a fresh look at horror and how to write it. Personally I can say this is one of the only fanfics I've seen use only its atmosphere and minor repationion to provide the horror and mystery elements.

I like the way Seer shows Twilight's thought process and shows the hysteria beginning to show through the scientist in Twilight. I also liked the use of the sky in the story as this shows that something is wrong and there is a reason for Twilight to be on edge. I mean everyone has had that moment when you know something is off and you just want to run. Personally the fact that Spike is absent adds another element to the story as while yes, it is explained this gives another way for Twilight to be scared. This mean she should be the only one in the library but throughout the story there is sounds from downstairs or something as simple as the dark.

The way Twilight feels about the dark is reminiscent of a childhood fear of the dark. That is also another point to take into account is that Twilight is an unreliable narrator and you question what's her imagination verse what's really there. They also tie up the argument that she could have contacted Celestia as this is ferequlity used to discredit horror as "Why wouldn't you contact an god like figure in the fandom?"

By the end of the story I was on the edge of my seat and looking at the dark with a new view. I feel the chapter names where a nice touch and you should pay attention too. The Seer choses to leave the story open-end without revealing too much which I feel some stories do. The entire horror is based on the fear of the unknown which everyone has.

If you haven't already given this story a read I highly suggest it.
