Why not make it in color?

I've tried doing it in color, and was never satisfied with how it scans. It was never as vivid as I wanted it to when I used colored pencils, and with my level of graphic programs skills, trying to color it digitally ended up with something that looked like it was made in pony generator.

Why not just draw the out line, post it on an online coloring site like Sumopaint, then color it in there? Or at least say what color your OCs are in the blog posts you make? Also, what's wrong with Pony Generator?
