    Holding My Hat Out

For those followers, young and old, I bid you welcome. Sorry for this blog post as it's mostly asking for money.

I've republished an old fiction of mine that had been deleted years ago. this time I decided to give it an editing pass, some rewriting, and help from a friend; Silver Scroll.

    Well now...

Now that I've been so rudely had my morale boosted from having a story in the featured box, and have done my 9 hours of work, I suppose it's time to start responding to all these comments.

    Still Alive

Just wanted to put myself out there and to tell people, I'm still participating in fiction. Even some non fiction work such as reviews and the like. The thing is, the past two years or so have been eventful, but in sometimes subtle ways. For the longest time I thought my internal battles to be useless effort from someone who cannot even manage a single task without aggrandising episodes of self

    Hello out there!

Is there anybody here that still believes me alive? Please let yourself be known! I would love to talk to you!
I do have some stories in the works, but I have honestly no feedback from the people that follow me (all 29 of you).
Be it questions, concerns, or anything. Please do not be shy.

    A co-opted fiction involving Scootaloo!

Those who loved Blue Trimmed Icarus, I'm tagging this post for a reason!

I've written a fiction along side a very good friend of mine, Xl9! It can be found here.

If you enjoyed Blue Trimmed Icarus, then it's very likely you'll love this little fluffy story involving Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash.

Hello and Welcome · 12:23pm Nov 10th, 2012

Good morning. I've taken note of the few others who have decided to follow my works on FimFiction, and I felt that I should address you directly. The reason for this early hour message is the fact that I cannot sleep. My mind is active and won't allow any sort of respite for the body which is at it's mercy in this time.

I feel that I should be open with you all concerning my thoughts of the now and what's to come.

My first thought being: Thank you. Thank you for finding me worthy of your time. I pray that I won't let you down. I've only been back in the field of writing, and my ideas have yet to keep up with my lacking skill. One of the main reasons for me choosing fan fiction is to improve on my writings overall, which leads me to my proving ground:

Many of you have followed me due to my most recent fiction Blooming Faith, but this is not my first. I've done another fiction that you might find enjoyable for it's own style. It's a brief one of only fifteen hundred words and goes by the name Child of Color.

But there is another. Lifeled. This fiction is a slight enigma to myself for it is the first thing I've written in the years and it's pure promise that I'm still keeping it going. I started it without planning it all the way, and even the start is a rocky one having to do major edits just to make it readable, but it's serving a great purpose by allowing me to improve. I would not reccomend it to many of you, but it does show an example of my increasing skill chapter by chapter. I'm actually planning on finishing it much sooner than I first had planned by increasing the length of the chapters and also shortening the narrative, yet another experament on this proving ground. I am going to do my best to plan for an exciting story, but I do fear it's too little too late to make the narrative a smooth and enjoyable one for the reader.

Now, for what's to come:

A story of Octavia where I hope will change your perception of evil from a spectrum of black and white to one of color, the same as we view the world.

A story of one man miste the unfamiliar where I hope to cause doubt in wether one would trade their knowledge, understanding, and innocence for a different form and maybe give cause to appreiate the trials they've had in lifeand how those trials have moulded the individual.

A sequel to Lifeled that is just a thought right now. I mainly want to do this one to practice first person narrative. The style would be vastly different from its predecessor.

And a fluffy, happy story involving Scootaloo. :scootangel: (This one, I feel, will be the hardest for me to pull off)

Thank you, and if you don't mind me expressing myself, I hope you stay with me on my journey here that you may soon understand me and know me and that I might, in turn, know you. Friend.

Seems like you've got all kinds of ideas for stories coming up. The one about Octavia intrigues me. (And the Scootaloo one, but that's because I'm interested to see how you tackle a "fluffy, happy" story:pinkiehappy:)

(And did you find the premiere of Season Three something that inspired upcoming stories, or did it not affect your ideas at all?)

499356 Fluffy happy is going to be hard.

The premier really didn't change any of the ideas I've already had established. Most of what I work with are ideas that have come to me that I run with, not always inspired by the show. The fact that Sombra was banished in shadow, and how the shadow was dispelled right before his demise is one of the few, if not only, thing that actually provoked thought (Beyond Twilight's "Next Level" of study, but I don't feel compelled to mess with future cannon).

These story ideas have been in my head for a little while. I've got some planning out still of the Octavia fiction because I'm crafting my own time period along with the story. I'm thinking prohibition era style Manehatten for that. I've gotten over part of the planning when I had a breakthrough with a main OC that will play a large role.

Scootaloo is the most recent one, idea came shortly after reading a short fact concerining avian feathers....

Crystal Ponies might have something going for them if one uses plenty of poetic lisence, but I'm one with your opinion of them: They didn't seem to play a big role, nor really distinguish themselves as a 4th race of pony. Then again, could be something we're not seeing, maybe they have this super cool talent outside of just shining?

The Crystal Ponies don't just shine...they gleam! :rainbowlaugh: Yeah, the stuff in the premiere about Twilights "next level" didn't worry me...then there was that scene where the book appears next to Luna at the end of the episode. And on its cover were stars and a swirl...and I thought, "Oh no! My story dodged the canon bullet of the premiere...only to be doomed by the upcoming season finale!" :derpytongue2: Oh well...nothing to be done about it, I guess.

The shadow stuff is cool. I was under the impression that the Sisters used the Elements of Harmony to defeat Discord...but it looked like they only used their own magic to deal with Sombra. That was what I got from that little flashback scene anyway...

Looking forward to what you've got coming up.
