Journal Entry - Volume 1 - Chapter 9 · 11:48pm May 21st, 2019
Dear Journal,
I've left the hospital and am currently living with the purple unicorn I mentioned in my earlier entry. Twilight seems nice... I suppose. Although every time her horn glows, I duck! Her dragon friend Spike seems much more level headed than she, generally choosing to think before acting! Perhaps I am merely judging Twilight too harshly, as she is letting me stay with her, rent free!
Not wanting to be a freeloader any longer than necessary, I've started working at a nearby apple orchard where I now pen this entry. The woman... mare in charge here is named Applejack. Apparently her and Twilight along with a few others were the ones who defended the townspeople... townsponies during the attack! While I'm not exactly sure HOW they did it, somehow they made it happen! I asked Twilight how, but she just gave me a nervous looks and avoided the issue! But it appears I am getting off topic again!
Today was my first day on the job! Applejack introduced me to her older brother Big Macintosh and her baby sister Apple Bloom. Big Mac, as he is usually called, seems to be the strong silent type. Apple Bloom... well, let's just say she's... afraid of me! When first we met she ran away screaming at the very sight of me! I do understand how she feels though, as I considered doing the same when I saw Spike and Twilight for the first time!
Applejack just rang the bell for supper, so I guess I had better head in! But before I forget...
Not everyone will want to be your friend.
