I mean am not surprised either, this is the same lady who nailed a buncha people to crosses along a road, including the few master's who sided with her because she got grumpy after a revolt.
Danny personified justice/vengeance the duality between her two beliefs were always meant to clash with the more sane and stable people around her, many of whom were to illusioned by her pretty appearances and words. Sadly burning a capital city to the ground, for the most part, will likely wake up a lot of people and ensure she loses any support she had gained. Fear only works for so long.

Hell, even in the books its shown she's not some perfect savior like individual. Her visions in the House of the Undying, plus a vision Bran had of Drogon flying over KL (GRRM wrote the episode with the vision in it) have hinted she may suffer a similar Fate in the books
