Introduction making of:
Another story, another making of. This one is very short, because I had little time—as is always the case with these holiday-themed stories of mine. It begins with two brief character sketches (courtesy of my friend Wireframe), followed by some ideas for the plot. Then there’s the strong scene break for me to copy-paste if I need it, and some dialogue ideas inspired by the Flutter Brutter episode. (I didn’t use all of them, as you can see.) This making of ends with a bit of promotion I used on FIMFiction, which is always nice to think about in advance. I hope you find this making of interesting, helping, and inspiring. Happy learning!
Fun fact: this one-shot is actually an adaptation of a script I made for a friend who wanted to do a theatrical Zephyr Breeze cosplay. Unfortunately he never got around to doing it, so I was left with this idea. The moral of this fun fact is to never throw anything away, especially if you’re writer.
Making of:
Both ponies are fairly self-centered and rather full of themselves over their abilities. That said they contrast each other significantly outside of that. Zephyr is waiting for opportunity to fall into his lap seemingly believing he deserves to be recognized. He’s lazy and doesn’t quite dare make any steps on his own to actually make something of himself.
Trixie is driven to show off just what she can do. The show must go on no matter the setback. She’s hard working, if a bit too competitive and boastful, but has the tendency to forget how others might experience the performance or her behavior. It’s always Trixie first
She will be annoyed by to be forced to listen to Zephyr, then mildly interested, then annoyed again. Not angry. Maybe she’ll try to out boast him, or doesn’t even get a chance for that.
Trixie might boast, lie, and pretend to have had a million stallion coltfriends thanks to her “shining” career and personality. But she had to decline them all, for her art is her biggest love. She might twist the truth about Snips and Snails.
I feel like Trixie's use of third person is tied to two things. When she's performing as her stage persona, or when she's being smug.
Trixie can turn Zephyr into a teacup in the end and live great and powerfully ever after, or teleport him to a random place (tree? Top of Canterlot Castle? Tartarus? Wonderbolt Headquarters?)

I like juicy stories. You never know when you can use them to make ponies do what you—eh, I mean to draw inspiration from them
Boy, am I glad I am so good at that transformation / teleportation spell Starlight showed me. One never knows when it comes in handy. Not only in magic tricks, apparently…
Where did I send him again? Hm… can’t remember. Doesn’t matter. I’m sure he’s fine / Now that I think of it, I don’t know where I sent him. I’m sure he’s fine, though.
That pony has a serious ego, and a little too much confidence if you ask me. Ah well, back to preparing my most grandiose, spectacular, and amazing show of all time, which will leave everypony speechless and make me the most great and powerful magician in all of Equestria, HAHAHA!
Okay, now where did I put the rubber snakes again?
Zephyr dialogue:
Nothing went wrong per sé…
I’m doing it my way!
I’ve seen a show of yours once… I think… Or I might have fallen asleep. I don’t remember. I’m hard to impress, you know?
And they were like:…
Zeph
It’s so… hierarchical
I worked my magic
A little breeze to blow her way
The Wonderbolt Academy wasn’t the right fit for me

Description:
Short:
Zephyr Breeze boasts about his adventure on the path of love. Trixie is the unfortunate victim who needs to hear it.
Long:
April Fool’s challenge: ‘Write a story or one-shot using only direct dialogue and onomatopoeia.’
-Zephyr Breeze found a poor victim to boast his latest brilliant plan.
-Not even the Great and Powerful Trixie is safe when Zephyr Breeze wants to boast about his latest brilliant plan. Yes, of course it involves Rainbow Dash!
