Hello my . . . few followers who probably won't see this! I have a little question for you.
Even though I know both these fandoms have declined over the years, I've become interested in FNaF again because of personal reasons. I've been thinking a lot about this; I said I'd write a sequel to this story. It never happened, as you can see.
Hold on, that's not quite what you're thinking; I'm not about to jump in and write a sequel. First, I'm going to ask you all something:
Would you guys be interested in me writing, A. a rewrite of Five Nights in Equestria, which could include new characters, new plots, and new interactions (keep in mind, I wouldn't really be able to add anything from after FNaF 4 because I have forgotten everything lore related and don't know anything new. At least not yet. IDK, it's so complicated now) . . . things such as more Golden Freddy, who I know you guys enjoyed ;) , maybe a different ending~? Who knows.
Or would you like B. a sequel to this story.
A rewrite would be very possible because I feel like I could do better on this fic. I cringe whenever I think about some of the things I've written . . . XD (And reminder! The original story would stay up!)
And if you'd like a sequel, well . . . it'd be harder and based heavily off the first more than likely.

I didn't read this story yet, but, I can write an answer to the first sentence.
The brony fandom hasn't declined as much as you think. There is still a lot happening and a decline will only be as bad as you let it be. Everyone can do a little something to prevent a decline from happening, by creating more fresh and new pony content for the fandom to engage with.
With that said, the answer is:
Yes, you should absolutely go and write a sequel.
I honestly think that if you want to, go right ahead! I too have been contemplating writing something new for the fandom, and even if the show is ending, I think it would be good to just sort of step back in, at least for me. I think it would awesome to see either a sequel or a rewrite, it honestly depends on what you feel would work out better and would be easier on you! I would read either one!
