Speedy Quill

It's a dangerous business, putting words to paper. You write a sentence and, if you don't keep your hoof, there's no telling where you might be swept off to...

    Some Editing…

If anyone actually sees this and is interested, I’ve gone back to Learning to Live Again with some revisions. A few scenes have been added, some chapters combined, and some tweaking here and there to plot lines that I felt were messy.

If anypony is interested in reading my story again, I would love to hear what you think of the additions and changes.

    On Second Thought...

I once stated there were no plans for a sequel to my story Learning To Live Again. I discovered by happy accident that I was lying.

I will be working on a shorter piece. Sort of a chance to build on some of the characters as well as flesh out the lore of MLP even more. I've already begun working on it!

Storytelling is one of my favorite hobbies. I was looking back on my stories and found myself reading Taken In again. This story was a unique journey for me. I started it years ago. Then life happened. When I finally came back to it, a lot had happened in both my life AND the show.
So I continued the tale of Shade. I filled in the gaps as best as I could and wrapped up the story. I was happy with myself for finally finishing this particular story!
I then thought that I should continue the story. So I attempted a sequel, Letting Go. You may have noticed that it’s no longer published. I discovered rather quickly that I didn’t have the same passion for this story as I had had for Taken In. I couldn’t bring myself to continue the work. Time passed and I thought the journey was over.
And then I had an idea recently. I reread Taken In, realizing some missed opportunities and some poor creative choices. From there it was clear. I wanted to try to tell Shade’s story again, this time more in line with my vision.
So that’s where I am now! I have decided to completely rewrite Taken In! There will be a lot of plot changes. You’ll recognize some of the scenes, but things are going to be a bit different this time around. I hope you aren’t sick of my OC, Shade. He’s coming back for Round 2!
As a teaser, I’ve included a look at Shade’s redesign for the new story cover. I hope you like it!
