For those who don't know, Celestia is my favorite princess. Twilight is by definition my waifu. She inspires me and her personality clicks with the ideals in my head of a perfect woman.
It was brought to my attention that I portray certain characters as Masochistic, Self-Depricating, Out of Character or otherwise "very poorly."
Listen: I understand how head canon works, I understand how those with waifus react to them being portrayed in an ill light. I truly understand how you feel when it is done. I won't say get over it nor will i make the "they aren't real" argument. I get it. Now understand my side of the story.
When a character in a horror novel or as the fandom calls them "grimdarks" dies or is mutilated in literally any perspective of the word be it skewing personality of straight up killing a fan favorite it is because the author of the grimdark is giving the respect they feel to that character. Remember "Cupcakes" or "Rainbow Factory"? The main characters were victimized to show how much the Horror Author respected and cared for them. It isn't to make fun of or display certain characters in a poor light just to humiliate those that love them it's to show just how much respect those characters deserve by working hard to detail the grimmest scenario possible.
You may dislike my work and that is fine. All I ask is that you wait till the book itself is completed and read it all, before disliking it due to disturbing portrayal of how you perceive your favorites. If you have any comments about why you dislike what i have, by all means let me know in the comments and we can talk it out. Perhaps I left a major plot hole or something, let me know how I can improve.
I actually don't have a worst pony, nor do I have an OTP. What I do have is boundless love for MLP and I try to put in all the effort I can to reflect that in my writing.
