The sixth story has begun · 11:01pm Feb 4th, 2019
I have now just published and submitted the start of my next story, LEGO Equestria Girls 6. I'm actually really excited about this one, since I liked the Forgotten Friendship special, and considering the kind of past Sunset Shimmer has had in this Lego World, the stakes will certainly be much higher. If you've followed me for a while, you'll probably know by now about my usual update schedule of a new chapter once every two weeks, and I will continue to maintain that this year.
Much like the previous story, this one won't have quite as many chapters as the earlier main stories did, and that's good because it will leave me with plenty of time later this year to write the seventh story. Yes, I've already planned out for a while how I'll re-imagine the events of Rollercoaster of Friendship for the setting of the Lego World. I won't share any details just yet, but I will say that some of the ideas I have are sure to make certain parts more awesome than they were in the original version. Expect to see the start of this upcoming story sometime in early August, later this year.
As you might have read in some of my previous blog posts, I've had ideas for additional stories to my series that are not based on official content. At this time, I have decided to simply hold them off until after the eventual end of the official Equestria Girls series, and then use these original story ideas as a sort of finale to the whole fanfiction series. To avoid giving out too many spoilers, all I'll say on them is that the first would feature the Lego World's version of the Changelings, the second would have the Young Six from the pony world visit the Lego World, and the third and final would essentially bring together all the Lego themes much like in the game Lego Dimensions. (I'm still undecided on whether I'd even want to do that last one.)
Finally, as I've said in a previous blog post, even though the official Equestria Girls content now includes tons of shorts, I have chosen not to do any more short stories due to the fact that I just simply don't have the time to do that much writing in addition to the main stories I've already planned out. Believe me, I really do wish I could be able to make some more short stories to somewhat reflect the official shorts, but with the amount of time I'm dedicating to other things like my continued efforts to complete every Lego video game I've got, it's just simply not going to happen. But quite recently, I've come up with a rather interesting solution: I may not have enough time, but other people might.
I am officially putting out an offer for other writers on this site to make their own short stories based on the Lego World established in my fanfiction series. Feel free to write whatever you want, but keep in mind that since such stories will based on a world made of Lego, it is recommended (though not necessarily required) to have at least one moment where someone quickly throws together a bunch of Lego parts and uses their creation to accomplish something (much like in a lot of short Lego videos you might find all over the internet). And who knows, if I like your short story enough, I might even consider mentioning it in one of my future stories.
Coincidentally, today also happens to be the exact day five years ago when I posted the beginning of the very first LEGO Equestria Girls story. I'm honestly quite impressed that I've been able to keep this series going for so long, and even more so that people like you continue to read them almost every day (at least, according to the story statistics that I regularly check). Barring any sort of unforeseeable disaster, I intend to continue writing more to this series, at least until I eventually reach the point where I will specifically call it a finale.
I think that covers everything I can think of for now. I hope everyone will enjoy reading LEGO Equestria Girls 6.
