The last research paper I worked on has published at last.

The process is REALLY slow. I finished all my work on this 3 years ago.

This one uses a lot of my histology and in-situ hybridization with RNAscope results.

But no more science for me. Now I build houses and driveways... and rip them apart too! It's a sort of yin-yang thing I've got going here.

A comedic scene from a new Clouseua story I'm fiddling with...

I just came up with this, and imagining Peter Sellers delivering the line had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Clouseau, "For you see, the murderer was... the bullet!"

    Guy in room, "The bullet?"

Clouseau, "Of course, no one would suspect the bullet of firing itself!"

Woman in room, "But that... that's madness!"

THE PIRATE KING BREAKS THE NETFLIX ANIME ADAPTATION CURSE!!!

Only the Pirate King could do it...

It's as good as possible. You cannot do such a goofy anime any better than this, and it's GREAT! I friggin LOVED it.

Last call for Bronycon items up on Ebay!

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items Sept 1st to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP!

Our oldest cat has died. · 1:56am Jan 9th, 2019

Our old black cat Lucky had to be put down today. What we'd thought, and hoped, was only a tooth infection when we had him checked by the vet last week turned out to be squamous carcinoma and it was growing rapidly, as his weight plunged, dropping over a pound in a single week.

He couldn't eat without analgesics and even drinking was becoming painful. He was growing weaker by the day, and had begun to stumble when he walked. But he was always friendly and gentle, even in his pain.

When his weight fell to 7 pounds today, down from 10, we felt that was all he should suffer. He went to sleep peacefully, with all of us around him.

He'd come to the family all the way back in April of 2000 as a tiny kitten my brother found abandoned at the edge of a puddle on his way home from work. Instead of running, Lucky jumped into the car when my brother stopped. And so he came to live with us, and for nearly 19 years he was the sweetest cat we've ever had.

Our family has had quite a few cats over the years. Not a single one was like him. He would 'talk' to you with many different sounds, each of which clearly meant something distinct to him. And he loved to be near us, always wanting to be held and sleeping right against us. He would be frequently at the door when I came home, ready to greet. And of course soon after ask for his dinner.

He will be missed sorely.

4993845 I believe this about fits the mood at home right now.

He knew it was the end. In the room at the vet as we were waiting for my parents to come say goodbye, Lucky suddenly relaxed and nestled up against me, laying his head against my arm. He wanted to be close one last time. When we'd all gathered, he simply lay there are let us all pet him. He didn't even flinch when the anesthetic was put in, and merely held my gaze as long as he was conscious. Then he was gone.
