Pokégod del 9 (A champion is me!) · 9:46pm Jan 5th, 2019

We interrupt this episode of Pokégod with this important message!

A loophole in Nintendo's Wi-fi Connection has been found which allows you to connect to their servers, despite their supposed shutdown for DS era games. This means that you'll be able to access online features, and in a truely bizzare twist of fate, download Mystery Gifts for Gen 4 and 5 pokemon games!

I myself have just received Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, shiny Eevee and legendary beasts and the enigma stone for my HeartGold game, and Meloetta, Genesect, Darkrai, Reshiram, Zoroark, Deoxys, Mewtwo, shiny creation trio, Liberty Pass, and two Keldeo's for my White game!

Here's how you do it.

And now back to our regular screening!

So I caught myself a Deino in Victory Road. I named it TOTENKOPF, which is the german name for the Skull and Crossbones symbol, because I figured such an edgy pokemon needed an edgy name. This sadly meant boxing my dear Musharna, CAROL (Or did it!?!!!?) And to prepare for the Elite Four, I leveled everyone up to 50-52, which caused TOTENKOPF to evolve into Zweilous and JUSTINE to evolve into Meinshao. That karate cat finally grew her straitjacket! Then began the gauntlet...

For the first time, you're allowed to pick which order to face the Elite Four, which is alittle strange since you don't know which types they use until you actually commit to fighting them, but whatever. I took them in clockvise order just because.

First was the ghost member and I have to admit that I rageresetted the first battle, but only because I missed 5 mofo Crunches in a row! (Have I mentioned I hate the Hustle ability?) But for the 2nd try I put CHARON on first, which was a much better idea seeing as her lead, Cofagrigus, has physical defense up it's ass, but a Shadow Ball did the trick.
NAHASH got to deal with Jellicent and Golurk, which baited a switch back into CHARON when she brought out her own Chandelure. No biggie.

The dark user got utterly demolished by HERBERT and JUSTINE (U-turn tag team for the win!)
Same with the Psychic user and is it just me or isn't she the same girl from Battle Castle in gen 4? She turned into a real bitch though. "You interrupted me sleep! Mye, mye mye!"

And lastly the fighting user, which should have been BEELZEBUBs time to shine, except all his pokemon had fucking Rock Slide/Stone Edge! So sadly, she had to sit it out get bodied and let the rest of the team do most of the work.

This is where the plot thickened. Literaly! Team Plasma attacked and a castle shot out from the ground and encased the area! I don't know how, but it did. Like did they just build that underneath the place? Is it mobile? It just looked like some pieces of plywood anyway...! Time to face off with N!
But first that black bakugan I got earlier reacted to Reshiram and turned into the mighty <cover legendary>! Thankfully it asked my whether it should go into my party or not so I didn't have to use it (unlike in OmegaAlpha where they force latias/latios into your party because fuck you!)
It was tough. That Archeops almost wiped me, but I gotta say, TOTENKOPF was the MVP of that fight. She tanked his Klinklang's Hyper Beams like a beast and didn't miss once!

Then out of nowhere, I had to battle Ghetsis! That fucking Hydreigon, man! Surf AND Fire Blast!? and at level 54 too! Get outta here! Hats off to JUSTINE who downed that bitch after BEELZEBUB heroically sacrificed herself to put a Toxic on it!
But I got through it, with JUSTINE and NAHASH to spare! NAHASH can brag about taking down his Eelektross with his Giga Drain - Leech Seed - Big Root combo.

So I'm the champion! Muhaha!

Looker (am I the only one that doesn't like this character?) came to my house and gave me the fishing rod (finally!), I got the national pokedex and loads of stuff's apparently opened up for me now. So I decided to take another stroll through the region and see what's up.
Naturally, I came to the Dreamyard first. First trainer in there opens up with a level 63 Drowzee. lolwhut!? 63, really!?!!? That's more than 10 levels higher than any of my pokemon!
That difficulty spiked major! I mean, I still won the fight, but still! And every new trainer I meet now is also 60+. So I guess I'm grinding some levels now.
Not complaining about difficulty or anything, but this seemed really out of nowhere. Maybe they expected me to be 55 before the Elite Four...

Now about my team... It's not very good! Atleast not composition wise.
See, astute readers should know that with Serperior, Archeops, Scolipede, Chandelure and Mienshao, I have a cribbling weakness against Rock and Flying, which is a big problem this gen since Game Freak handed out Acrobatics and Stone/Slide like it was candy! And adding TOTENKOPF to the team adds another weakness to Ice.
Now I ain't afraid of no Ice-types! All my pokes have a Fire, Rock or Fighting move to deal with those. But since the biggest users of Ice moves are actually Water-types... That's a bit of a snag, since my only answer to Water is NAHASH, which is weak to Ice...

Giving this a big thought, I have decided to put back CAROL in the team. TOTENKOPF now plays first reserve. I'll still keep her up to levels so that she'll evolve and I have my Surf user, but CAROL's Charge Beam and huge defensive ass is just too good to pass off.
She has been with me the whole journey too. Such a good little elephant dream fetus!

Besides, I still havent encountered a situation where Surf is mandatory to proceed.
Maybe they knew...
