3Below: Tales of Arcadia

Guillermo del Toro has brought numerous twists to common fables and pop culture things. His jump into the Netflix with Trollhunters has been very well received. And now we have this. The second trilogy in the Tales of Arcadia Series, we focus not on mythological creatures, but aliens. From a far away galaxy, a planet of energy based life forms just suffered a coup, leaving two heirs of the throne, an animal, and their commander to flee for Earth. Of course, they need to blend in and so don organic forms (the pet takes on the form of a corgi).

All the while, they encounter bounty hunters and have first contact with an Area 51-esque base. Perhaps it's strongest points is that being set in Arcadia as well, there are numerous crossovers with the Troll Hunters including Blinky and Arrrgh. As this first season is set during the final season of the past show, I won't go too far here for the sake of those who haven't watched Trollhunters.

Still, It's a great show, carrying on several aspects I find intriguing as Gargoyles has.
