I've got science things to do!! Expect chapter three in a week! · 5:42am Nov 3rd, 2012
Recently my studies have picked up, and I've realized that I am not in fact a skilled writer. My grasp of grammar is as clumsy as Sweetiebelle attempting to assist Rarity at any type of task.
In spite of this, I do enjoy writing and am very interested in finishing my story. I've got chapters 3-5 planned out already, the thing that is really intimidating however is that my grammar and formatting skills need heavy improvement, I would also like to write in a more free style that is not as unnecessarily long as my current style. The titles of the next chapters are
#3 This might be really real, What's in the bag?
#4 At least she's a scientist, Interview with a human.
It might take them a while to get out as I will have to get them proofread and checked for grammar, but I would like to get the story rolling past the awkward "I can't believe this is happening" phase, it is really rather over done from what I can see, and I would actually like to get something going.
I can't say that it will be soon because studies do eat much of my time, but I am interested in improving the quality of my initial drafts so that they don't have to be revised several times for grammar and style. Any advice given is appreciated, I am not a writer by trade or study so if you feel that I am doing something wrong technically please let me know I'd be more than happy to hear any advice or constructive criticism.
