Hope you all like science babble · 7:55am Dec 23rd, 2012
Yes the writing for the next few chapters is well under way, and I have to say that so far the bulk of what I have been writing is thinly veiled scientific comparisons between earth and equestria, as well as some of the "technical difficulties" that a human would run into being there (having injuries) and living with Twilight Sparkle; Princess Celestia's most faithful student. The next three chapters are far from finished (formatting and editing takes me more time than writing the damn things) But the general direction is taking shape nicely.
As a thank you to my readers here is a unedited excerpt from one of the coming chapters staring everyone's favorite princess.
I “slept” last night and “dreamed” that I was back home, although it was hard to maintain coherence this is what the dream entailed:
I wake up in my bed convinced that this all was just a dream, I brush my teeth, get dressed, breakfast, grab my books like usual and then go outside in the freaking rain to wait for my bus. This is all pretty relieving you see, I don't have a failed midterm and I am not in this, this, this... I don't even know what to call it “this state of being” As I wait for the bus the moon is out for some strange reason (well I do leave early in the morning) and I can feel a pair of eyes watching me, not so say that someone watching me would be unusual in the city but I can feel these eyes following me like that strange creature (“manticore” is what I think “Twilight” called it).
I take the bus to college, and get my failed midterm back, I am kind of phased at this (who wouldn't be having a strange “dream” that predicted the same event.) So after I get it back I go to exit the class I don't want to believe that I failed, so I sit out the class trying to collect my wits.
After class ends I try and go to the professor's office hours in order to challenge the grade however My professor seems a little different, her hair is blue and she asks me why I am so upset at the grade that I have received on the midterm. I tell her that If I fail the class I will not be able to finish my major or school, she then asks me if that is what I am really afraid of. This catches me off guard, as it is a strange thing for any professor period to ask so I look down at my midterm in disbelief to avoid looking her in the eyes.
When I look up at her from my paper she is now a midnight blue “pony” with wings and a horn and glowing white eyes, I freak out and run from the office because it is looking a lot like freaking ponytown or whatever and I don't want it to be like that, but she then appears in front of me again and yells at me to “Face Your Fears!” at which point I wake up screaming at the top of my lungs, much to the dismay of my new “guardian”.
As you can see it is pretty rough around the edges, and not even that original; but I thought it would be nice to put something up rather than just talk about putting things up.
