I enjoy writing. Is there much else to say? Nothing you'd be interested in I'm sure.

    Spider-Man Villain Centered Film

So I remember when Sony still had plans on expanding on the Amazing Spider-Man series of films with a planned Sinister Six focused film. Well we may not be getting that anymore but turns out we will be getting a film based off of a Spider-Man baddie not named Venom. Turns out Donald Glover, Childish Gambino himself, is going to direct and star in a work in progress film about one of the

Ip Man + Treasure of the Sierra Madre

So my brother got me hooked on watching the Ip Man film series starring Donnie Yen as the titular character. I have to say I enjoyed all for of the main films plus the spin-off film Master Z, which focuses on the life of a particular character (one of my favorites) after their appearance in the main film series. The fight scenes in them are very well choreographed even if, according to some, the

    Finale

So I'm writing the finale to my Force of Wills story and now I'm thinking I'll release it in small mini chapters since it feels much less daunting then the grand culminating single chapter I envisioned.

    Gunsmoke

So I decided to splurge a bit and bought the entire "Gunsmoke" series on DVD and I have to say it was money well spent. over 630 episodes of a show that ran for 20 years and I can see why. The acting is great all around and James Arness' Matt Dillon is one of my favorite characters in television history as well as Amanda Blake's Kitty Russell. The show tackles some serious stories that I wasn't

    Adios Sabata

So I watched the spaghetti western, Adios Sabata, with Yul Brynner playing the titular Sabata. The film takes place during the French occupation of Mexico and the local rebels hiring Sabata to help "liberate" gold from the French troops and their Austrian leader. I have to say this was one of the strangest westerns I have seen. It was like watching One Piece mixed with a touch of James Bond and

Writer's Block · 12:49am Nov 9th, 2018

I haven't worked on my stories in a while. I just haven't had the inspiration to get back in. I don't know if it's my location (I usually have a single place where my words seem to flow), my mood or what. I have a lot of ideas mapped out in my head but just can't get them typed out. I've already had to cancel one of my stories, which I hate doing. That does leave one story to do and two new ideas to write if anyone is interested in hearing what they're about. Some new ideas from someone else might help me get back into it.

Sorry to hear about that. Writer's block is awful. DX

I don't know if I'd be able to help, but I'm open to hearing any ideas or such. ^_^

Thanks. I just finished a five chapter story on Fanfiction yesterday that I'd been working 4 YEARS on. Tells you how bad it is.

Well, the Star Wars story is still in my mind. I've mapped it out but I just haven't felt like writing. I've had two more main ideas. One about one of the HuMane 7 of EQG getting infected by a timberwolf that came through the portal. More of a comedy than anything else and only one chapter.

The second, I decided to do something with a villain in EQG that gets his hands on a magically enchanted flute that allows him to control anyone who has or had magic exposure. It's a character who's only made one appearance in a short but I think I've come up with some good banter between him, his minions and the backup Mane six of the EQG-verse.

Oof. Yeah, I understand. I have story ideas I stop and start, off and on, over years. :ajsleepy:

I like both those ideas, to be honest. In particular the idea of the magic flute story. I love the idea of wild magic from the portal statue getting into various mundane objects and making them potentially dangerous :rainbowlaugh: (I once had an idea for a story about a theater mask that gets imbued with magic and allows its wearer to shapeshift) I'd definitely be interested to see that flute story written up!

Now, for that timberwolf idea... when you say "infected" do you mean like, in a parody of werewolf stories, or something else? Because of how recent Halloween was, that was the first place my mind went to when I thought of Timberwolves and infected. Could be fun too, I must say.

4965128
Yeah, like a werewolf parody. One of them transforms in the night and the others have to find a cure. Rainbow has an idea that the only thing that can stop a werewolf...is a vampire. That's where it gets more humorous.

4965135
Ah, okay then. XD
I do like that idea. Werewolves versus Vampires can be fun fodder for stories - and I like the idea of comedic takes on the concept.

Thanks. I want to keep working on the Star Wars one as well. Let me get you opinion on something. How do you feel about flipping the script with Sonata Dusk as the Big Bad of the story instead of someone else?

4965149
Huh. Sonata as the Big Bad?

...I can get behind that. Hey, she was one of the hooded Dark Side girls in the second EG/Star Wars short :rainbowlaugh:

4965150
Yeah, I remember a lot of people said and still say that just because Sonata was goofy acting in the movie doesn't mean she was any less merciless than her sisters since she went along with it all. Aria is the one I feel they dropped the ball on as I thought they were going to go with a Starscream, backstabber type role for her. But yeah, I think using Sonata would be a much unexpected choice. Kind of like Tobe from Naruto. He acting like a dope for most of his appearances than his personality does a 180.

4965159
Indeed. Sonata was a ditz but she still clearly enjoyed being mean. I think it'd be a great little twist to have her be the arch villain... and hey, if I recall, Tempest and Rose are the major characters in the story. Pitting two stoic and/or angry heroes up against a jolly villain is a classic example of juxtaposition. XD

Aria turning Starscream would have been interesting (even if part of me understands why they didn't put it in the movie - probably didn't want to overstuff the finale), and definitely makes good fodder for fanfics.

I too agree Aria. eeded further looking into. I was waiting for her to betray her sisters personally n.n
