Pokégod del 8 (Approaching the End) · 5:50pm Oct 25th, 2018

So since I was away last weekend I had got alot of time put into this game.

First of all, CAROL learned Psychic on level up so I immediately used a Moon Stone to evolve her into Musharna, and now makes a very unsettling ghost whistle sound when brough out into battle. (And since the Evoilite she's been holding this whole time is no longer in effect, I gave it to CHARON, which has evolved into Lampent.)

In the next town I hit a bit of a snag. See, Team Plasma told me they were heading to Dragonspire Tower when I least encountered them, which is just north of the town. The problem was I weren't allowed in before I beat the gym leader for completely arbitrary reasons. Come on guy! Don't tell me where the bad guys are headed if I can't go there yet!
And this was made worse by the fact that the exit on route 8 was blocked by two grunts stating again that they're doing stuff at the tower...
Bad storytelling! Very, very bad!

Another thing that I realised was that I could use Surf outside of battle. I haven't had any required bit yet, but I figured I'd better get a Surf user soon. So teaching it to my trusty Stoutland I went into the waters to find one and got... Nothing...!
There was Palpitoed, which I'll never use for the life of me. Stunfisk, which isn't a Water type, and looks stupid as all hell. And Shellmet, which isn't a Water type at all as it turns out...

Remember a while back when I saw Karrablast and thought of a pokemon I might use. I was thinking of Escavalier. Which not only isn't a Water type but it evolves from Karrablast and not Shellmet. Those two only evolved when traded with eachother and Karablast steals Shellmets armour. See, I knew that but still thought it evolved from Shellmet. And they're both Bug type so...
I decided to look up every gen 5 pokemon that learns Surf and got some frightening results. The only water types which learns Suft are:
Oshawott line. Starter so I can't use that. (But now I know which starter I'll pick in White 2!)
Tympole line. Not using that.
Panpour line. Nope.
Baskulin. Same as above.
Alomomola. Same as above.
Turtle fossil. I picked the other one.
Ducklett line. Don't want to.
Keldeo. Event exclusive legendary.
And the Frillish line, which is part Ghost and I don't want two Ghost types on my team.
Then there's the non-water types, and all except 3 are physical based pokes. One is Stunfisk. One is Audino. Congratulations Deino! Until further notice, you're my last team member!

Speaking of teams I found the 5th member in the grass outside Dragonspire. Mienfoo, which I named JUSTINE. There's no reason for that. I just thought it was a pretty name...
Don't look at me like that! Coming up with metaphorical names for a karate cat is hard okej...!?
Anyways, I think it's a cool poke and I've never really used Fighting types on a team before. Sadly, this mean I had to box AMETHYST for the forseeable future. A cat for a cat right?

So Team Plasma are being dicks again. They smashed through this invaluable monument just to get to the white pokething at the top, so I had to clean them out and then go to the previously inaccessable parts of Relic Castle and get them out of there too. And all I got was this black marble... And the Shadow Ball TM!
Apparently N has this white dragon now which makes him think he's some sort of badass so he's going to defeat the Elite Four and basically pull a Lelouch and "free all the pokemon!". Everybody told me I need to use the black marble to summon the black dragon and defeat N and crush his dream and all that neat stuff. He's not got a chance.
(As long as I don't have to use the dragon on my team. I got another black dragon I want.)

Went to the next city and defeated Iris, the dragon trainer. This gym was actally hard, since all the dragon pokemon has beast Attack stats and the only supereffective move I had was HERBERTs Dragonbreath. I used a bunch of revives and potions and managed to nab the win. CHARON pulled some godlike disruption on Haxorus with both Confuse Ray and Will-O-Wisp.
But I am really dissapointed that even the 8th gym leader only had 3 pokemon... I get there's only 3 dragon type lines this gen, but come on! Give her atleast 1 Deino!

Now I'm going to train my team to level 45, use a Dusk Stone on CHARON and evolve him, and fight my way to Victory Road, where my final team member, N and the Elite Four awaits...

Current team:
JUSTINE, the Mienfoo - Fake Out, U-Turn, Strength and Brick Break.
