A very inconsistent author with an affinity for making things sadder than they have to be.

Life Update, Insanity's Flight, and the FoE: ABC Writing Project

Hey all, it's been a little while. A bit has happened in the last few months. I've moved, I've gotten a job, I've lamented life choices for what is definitely an unhealthy amount of time and ultimately existed in an eternal state of panic as the days and weeks of my existence blur into an incomprehensible mosaic of repetition. I've been forced into the realization that my adult life is

Woo, I'm not dead, and neither is this story

I admit that setting up a deadline for myself, especially one that stringent, did not exactly pan out how I'd hoped. In fact, all the progress I'd thought I'd made by doing it was pretty much scrapped and started over. I could go on about all the stuff that's been going on in my life in hopes of coming up with an adequate excuse, but there really isn't one. All I can really say is that things

Not what I wanted, but progress has been made

My self-imposed deadline does conclude today and, as I should have assumed, the chapter is not done. However, I have made more progress in the last week than the preceding six so I'm chalking this up as a victory. I want to develop better writing habits, and I feel this was a good first step toward that.

So just wanted to give a quick update on my new crow-based diet. Now back to the story.

    "Everyone needs deadlines."

So I've never really done one of these blog posts before, despite how long I've been frequenting this site. I want to be more involved in the online social aspects of this fandom (especially with the potential conclusion of the series after this upcoming season), and I feel a solitary blog post on a fairly unknown profile is just the way to do it. I'm not sure who may come out to read this, but I

Joke's on you, I hate walking. Haha... I'm working on it.

Congrats dude! And remember: getting good writing habits is a bit like climbing a mountain. Sure, you could go straight from the valley to the top, but you're going to exhaust yourself at best, and kill yourself at worst! Trust me, take the winding roads, because even though it'll take longer, you'll definitely get to your goal in one (maybe two...) piece(s).

...

I... think I lost myself in my own metaphor maybe? Eh, screw it, you're doing great! Keep going dude, we got'chu back. ^^

Thanks for the encouragement. Big changes don't usually pan out for me, and I think I knew this one wouldn't from the start, but it was still a good exercise. One step at a time is usually a better pace for me.
